used to see a rep called Piper, she was lovely, only Piper I've ever come across.

'tis an old English name, very unusual. can't say I'm too keen though.

chaya5738 · 04/05/2011 13:58

It's a rather unfortunite surname but for a first name just NO!

There are so many nice names out there. For goodness sake plese don't do it!

It's not really ugly or anything, but I do think 'why'? For me, the associations are just a bit odd - so I get Scottish chap playing pipes, Pan by the river, piper at the gates of dawn (all very masculine pipers), piping voice (so high and shrill), piping hot, drainpipes. Also in French slang associations of 'pipe' aren't great...

Reminds me of light airplanes. Piper make them, so no here as well

kreecherlivesupstairs · 04/05/2011 13:26

Three No's. I just hadn't put mine in before I typed that.
It is bloody awful and the description of an individual blowing a set of bagpipes.

frakyouveryverymuch · 04/05/2011 13:24

As in Charmed? Brave but forever associated with the TV show!

pinkhebe · 04/05/2011 13:24

no

Gwinkofchocolate · 04/05/2011 13:23

Are you American? It sounds very American to me - that surname as a first name thing. It's not horrible, just a bit unusual.

BarryShitpeas · 04/05/2011 13:22

No
