I was at school with a girl called Tuesday. She carried it off very well.
I don't like Friday - because I can only think of Robinson Crusoe.
Wednesday is too Adams Family.

But what about:
Monday (does anyone like Mondays though?)
Thursday
Saturday (everyones favourite day)
Sunday

Grin April Fresh does sound like a toilet cleaner.

Days are too Addams Family for me, Freya is quite a nice name though (Friday related) but I knew a fucking horrible not very nice one!

vess · 05/05/2011 14:38

Not a big fan of these sort of names, TBH. To me they just say: 'My mum couldn't be bothered to think of a proper name for me, so she named me after the day/month I was born in!'

Camerondiazepam · 05/05/2011 10:45

I don't like Mondays.

[ROFL at own joke]

glendathegoodwitch · 05/05/2011 10:37

wheniwishuponastar · 05/05/2011 10:16

yes i like january. but since thats when my birthday is im going to try not to have a child then as its a rubbish time for a birthday!

Ruby Tuesday does have a certain ring to it!

LittleWhiteWolf · 04/05/2011 23:08

I know a Friday although he changed his name by deed poll from whatever-it-was to Friday. My best friend in primary school was called Amy and born in May...I liked the anagram of the name and the month.

I've always quite fancied Ruby Tuesday for a name Blush
And Sunday is lovely, too.

InsertFilthySpoonerism · 04/05/2011 21:09

I quite like January when I read about January Jones, and like Loveday although that isn't exactly a day of the week (not in this house anyway!)

MelinaM · 04/05/2011 21:07

^I'm waiting for 'Fryday' to turn upGrin

msrisotto · 04/05/2011 21:07

I once had a work colleague called Sunny which is nice!

And I worked at a nursery years ago with a little darling girl called Storm.

Not days/weeks/months/seasons but seems related. Don't go calling any children Windy though!

wheniwishuponastar · 04/05/2011 21:02

Toozday is hilarious!

stressheaderic · 04/05/2011 20:54

I know an April who missed it by a couple of days Hmm

MelinaM · 04/05/2011 20:49

Ruby TuesdayGrin

I prefer the seasonal names too, Autumn and Summer are beautiful, Winter is okay, I've yet to meet anyone called Spring!

Pachelbel · 04/05/2011 20:31

I know a Toozday...yes, Toozday Hmm
I don't mind day names, just so long as their spelt correctly.

I think I do prefer the months/seasons names though, but agree that a lot of them need to fit when the child was born. Having an April who was born in November would be a bit odd.

valiumbandwitch · 04/05/2011 20:09

I think any day works except for Saturday!!

Janoschi · 04/05/2011 19:59

April Fresh? Sounds like toilet cleaner!

Isn't Nicole Kidman's little girl called Sunday Rose...?

ggirl · 04/05/2011 19:41

My brother used to go out with an April Fresh , she was a bitch.

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 04/05/2011 19:37

I've also known a Sunday. I think you'd need to celebrate Sundays as a Christian to carry it off.

There's also Juma, Arabic for Friday. On a similar vein, I think you'd need to be a Muslim...

wheniwishuponastar · 04/05/2011 14:20

i think i would only call them a month, season or weekday if they were born then.

BuntyPenfold · 04/05/2011 13:58

Isn't Friday a contraction of Freya's day?
Plus Wodin and Thor of course for the end of the week.

QueenofDreams · 04/05/2011 13:54

I didn't think this actually happened in real life! Thought it was just the fictional ms Next who had a day of the week name!

BuntyPenfold · 04/05/2011 13:52

I know a Midwinter, which I think is fab.
Also an Autumn, a Storm, and two Summers aged 4.

Actually I do like Tuesday and Sunday and think they both sound nice, though tricky to carry off.

BlueChampagne · 04/05/2011 13:51

Thursday Next is the heroine of several Jasper Fforde novels, in which she has a daughter called Tuesday and a son called Friday.
