Probably would be known as Dougie and Tasha day to day.

Well?

I like both and the nicknames. Also Natalie or Natalia as an alternative.

Natasha seems very 80s to me - Clara beautiful - though no obvious nickname I suppose! Francesca quite similar to Natasha - but just nicer?

James better than Douglas, I'm afraid I don't like that one at all - it just seems middle-aged. Could you get that feel but with a slightly less dull name (sorry!) - Dougal? (nn Dougie), Dunstan (nn. Stan?) ?

James and Clara
Francesca and Dunstan - (Chesca and Stan)?

Teds77 · 05/05/2011 14:51

Congrats on your twins! I think Douglas is lovely, James is great as well but is very popular (so Doug better if you want classic/less popular).

For some reason I'm not convinced about Natasha and like others on here think Alice is far more beautiful. Love Clara too. But the Natasha thing is just my personal taste - if you like it, go for it, it's not like you are suggesting Monroe or Moroccan (WTF??) Grin

JoanofArgos · 05/05/2011 14:49

wouldn't do a vowel-start middle name after an 'a' surname - Natasheralice.

vess · 05/05/2011 14:45

Natalie or Natalia is way better than Natasha.
Douglas James is fine.

Hedwig3 · 04/05/2011 14:36

I like Douglas but not Natasha/Tasha.

moogdroog · 04/05/2011 12:48

Great names!
DH is a Douglas (or Doug, but never Dougie) - he loves his name.

MercurySoccer · 04/05/2011 11:32

I'm not too keen on Douglas, but I like James so I'd swap the names to James Douglas.

I like Natasha but find Alice a bit dull (most people here like it though) and the "a" sounds run together with Natasha Alice.

GibberingGinger · 04/05/2011 10:57

I have twin boys called Douglas and James so I think your boys name is perfect. I think they are both really manly names and like the Doug/Dougie/Doogie nicknames. Though tbh, neither of my boys names have been shortened yet (1yr old now) I always thought they would but it just hasn't happened.

Alice I think is a lovely name. Natasha I'm not so keen on just cause there was a girl in my class who got called Mous-tasha, with waggling of hand in front of top lip. Poor girl. She didn't even have a moustache!

NormanNorris · 04/05/2011 10:15

Love Douglas and Alice (Natasha I personally dislike).

pirateparty · 04/05/2011 10:14

Like Douglas, James and love Alice. Really don't like Natasha/Tasha though - sorry.

tummytickler · 04/05/2011 10:10

Douglas and Clara sound great together.

yousankmybattleship · 03/05/2011 19:53

I love both names.

ellangirl · 03/05/2011 19:50

Agree that Douglas and Natasha don't really go together somehow. Really like Douglas (or Dougal), Natalia is a good alternative to Natasha, but I actually prefer Alice. Just my personal opinion!

benedictxvi · 03/05/2011 19:47

I think Douglas is a lovely name and so is Natasha. Douglas James is a great combination - what my brother is called and oddly enough there was another Douglas James in his class at school. Jim Morrison was a James Douglas btw.

Tuggy · 03/05/2011 19:47

Dougie/Doug/Douglas all fabulous solid names.

Jojay · 03/05/2011 19:44

I like Clara - it's been a contender. Steering clear of Kate this year!

Love Douglas/Dougie - really, really fabulous.
I am not very keen on Natasha and Tasha is really awful.

Northernlurker · 03/05/2011 19:34

I like Douglas - and Dougie but I prefer Natalie (how do you spell that - thought it had h in but can't work out where) or Natalia to Natasha

noddyholder · 03/05/2011 19:32

I love Dougie Knew a gorgeous one once

Natasha and Jayden - really? I don't think of it like that at all!

I agree that Douglas is a bit tweedy but in a good way I think!

I like James as a middle name, but it's a bit boring as a first name, IMO of course. I think I know too many Smile

I prefer something a little more unusual, but not so far out that no-one knows how to spell it!

DS1 and 2 are Jasper and Ed (ward)

I love those names! I like Douglas too, it's kind of cool. Most people won't be 'ready' for it but I see it becoming more popular.
