So now that we have covered which names set your teeth on edge, which ones do you find to be utterly delightful? (And just like last time, if you don't mind, which continent/country do you hail from? :) )

My personal style is so eclectic, I couldn't even begin to describe it!! I do tend to love the more frilly names for girls, like Isabelle and Genevieve, and solid names like Josiah and Nicholas for boys. (North America)

Once again, my goal here is for this to be fun and informative... Grin If someone happens to mention a name that you personally find detestable, PLEASE do not mention that here... That is what the other thread was for! I would love for us all to have fun and just enjoy our differences! ;)

Soo looking forward to hearing your favorites! Here's a toast to each of us and our own unique individuality!! Wine

Another one with a mixed bag of faves here. I tend to like more traditional, but at the same time unusual ish names. (But they can't be too 'out there')

Girls - Phoebe, Tabitha, Imogen, Scarlett, Marianne, Erica, Olivia, Rebecca

Boys - Logan, Alexander, Troy, Benjamin, Montgomery, Christian, Xavier, Oliver (I love, but fear it has been over used)

(I'm in the UK)

cochonette · 05/05/2011 12:41

my fave names for boys are

Zachary (Zac)
Hugo
Xavier

(I'm half French, a shame these last two don't work so well in English)

for girls i like

Ruby
Camille (again, French)

rachel1970 · 05/05/2011 11:42

My favourite names include classics like:

Anna, Emma, Marie, Celia, Sophia

Clement, Quentin, Leo, Marcus

NinjaTurtle · 05/05/2011 11:14

I have an Isabella, but also love Ophelia, Scarlett, Evelyn, India, Juliet, Arabella, Araminta and Elizabeth.
I always struggle more thinking about boys names I like, but I think my favourites are Bodhi (sp) and Caspar.

DivineInspiration · 05/05/2011 10:56

Ramona, Ava, Vivien, Carmen, Carlotta,
Vincent, Magnus, Judah, Jude, Raphael, Horatio.

Are my current faves.

They just look good and sound good to me. I don't like frill or faff or try-hard, though nor am I keen on very traditional. They'd age well, wouldn't overwhelm a toddler or seem infantile on an adult, can't reall be mispronounced.

DP and I agree on Carmen and Jude only.

There are also a few names I have a fondness for, but wouldn't use for various reasons: like Heathcliff, DiAngelo, Aaliyah, Ahava.

wombatinwaiting · 05/05/2011 10:48

razzlebathbone - that's my surname!

OneBadAsp · 05/05/2011 10:39

my favourite girl's names are Artemis, Imogen, Inken, Paloma, Alexa, Isla, Ingrid... i like 'i' names apparently!

favourite boy's name is angus, determined to have it if we have a DS! also aiden, gabriel, tobias, sebastian.

DP and i have completely different taste in names, i like something a little unusual/uncommon. if it's in the top 10 names, i can guarantee DP will like it
