I'm pregnant with DD3, and we're down to a shortlist of 7. We already have an Alexandra and a Violet if that helps!

Beatrice
Fleur
Ava
Jemima
Lydia
Matilda
Phoebe

Please tell me which is your favourite and which goes best with Alexandra and Violet.
Thank You!

I think it has to be Lydia - really pretty and goes really well with your other names.

Lonnie · 13/05/2011 17:53

Beatrice or Phoebe in my opinion work best with your other dd's names

I never cared for Jemima and both ava and Matilda is so popular at the moment (bad associations with Lydia

I dont mind Fleur but I think it sounds slightly clipped in connection to your other two dd's names

MollyMurphy · 13/05/2011 17:40

Jemima makes me think of pancake syrup..."Aunt Jemima" - do they have that in the UK?

You have some very popular names on the list - Ava, Pheobe and Matilda....Matilda being my favoriate of the bunch. I think Fleur is kind of nice and I've never met a Fleur....only know the name from the Harry Potter books.

headfairy · 13/05/2011 16:45

Matilda

mathanxiety · 13/05/2011 16:38

I like Beatrice, Jemima and Matilda.

CherryDrops · 13/05/2011 12:30

Lydia my favourite, then Ava.

cazzybabs · 13/05/2011 12:02

I like all of them...MAtilda is the most popular out of your list round where live ...I like Beatrice and Jemina the most I think

sparkle1977 · 13/05/2011 11:58

I like Matilda the best

emmanumber3 · 13/05/2011 11:41

I love Phoebe. It would be on my list for DC3 if it didn't sound so odd with our surname! Sad.

ChuckYouFarlie · 13/05/2011 00:43

LOVE Lydia!

MrsMilton · 12/05/2011 23:41

confused, even.

MrsMilton · 12/05/2011 23:40

I love Jemima (and judging by these responses there will soon be a lot of them!) but Phoebe seems the best fit with your other names. The only one I really don't like is Ava - there are lots of them where I live and I get them confised with all the Evies and Evas.

mich54321 · 12/05/2011 23:31

Agree with Maybeitsbecause . Favourite Lydia but prefer Phoebe or Beatrice with your other names.

Maybeitsbecause · 03/05/2011 21:00

Beatrice, Phoebe and Lydia are all lovely.

Ava is a bit Colleen Rooney-esque, iykwim.

Jemima is awful. A dollys name.

Fleur is pretentious and sounds horrible in most British regional accents.

Matilda is OK, but there are a zillion Tillys about.

speakercorner · 03/05/2011 20:49

I love Lydia.

FlingonTheValiant · 03/05/2011 20:48

Lydia, Beatrice and Jemima. In that order.

Lovely names though!

pilates · 03/05/2011 20:44

What beautiful names, if I had to choose I think it would be Matilda.

Lostforaname · 03/05/2011 20:20

They're all very pretty. I want you to choose Lydia because I love the name, but know a horrible one so I can't use it myself. But you could!

Jojay · 03/05/2011 20:20

Phoebe

loobylu3 · 03/05/2011 20:17

Beatrice
Jemima
Matilda
followed by Phoebe and Lydia

proudfoot · 03/05/2011 02:21

I like all of them but my favourites would be

Ava
Beatrice
Lydia

QueenLivvy · 02/05/2011 21:16

Wow! Thanks for your quick responses! Jemima seems to be top at the moment, its my favourite too!! DH prefers Beatrice as its a family name, so at the moment we are thinking Jemima Beatrice!

What a fabulous list Livvy!

I love love, love JemimaSmile

Ava, Fleur and Beatrice are beautiful too, tough decision!!!

mopsyflopsy · 02/05/2011 21:03

All very nice. Why do you want OUR favourite, choose the one YOU love Smile.

OneBadAsp · 02/05/2011 21:03

i'm not so keen on jemima (reminds me of the duck) and i have a horrid little cousin called lydia, but all i love all the other ones. matilda and phoebe would have been in my girl's name list, but both clash with surname, boo :(

considering the two names you already have, i think phoebe goes best with them.
