Barney or Tarquin??

Hi I'm new here. Expecting the little darling in a month or so. What do you think of Barney or Tarquin? :)

Sorry I hate both names, the first one makes me think of a purple furry thing and Tarquin is just plain weird. IMO.

Barnaby is brilliant. Tarquin is awful - Tarquin was a famous rapist iirc.

Barney's great. Prefer Barnaby or Barnabus personally, but I think Barney's one of the less criminal nn-full names.
Agree that Tarquin's too far. Could work in a higher-class environment, but not in Chavvington Fields.

I think you should go for something a little more upmarket - have you considered Cuthbert or Montague? Smile

I love a preppy name but Tarquin is just too. Far. It's the name of choice when mocking precious parents (poor Tarquin's reading grades laa laa laa).
