Zara. Darcey or Freya? Please rate x

Always thought that DD2 would be a Darcey but as due date gets nearer I keep thinking its a bit chavvy. We have a Scarlett, so would like another strong girls name. Its really difficult as I am a teacher and lots of names I associate with pupils I have taught! DH likes Siennna but with our surname which is "Olorenshaw" it doesnt quite flow. Any comments welcome :)

Freya sounds a bit weak imo, and I know four Freyas under three... darcie is a stronger name, and Zara's downright kickass! love it.

I have a 14 yo Freya, it wasn't so popular then. I like Zara not so keen on Darcey.

Love the name Freya.

Hate the name Darcey.

Think the name Zara is alright.

I have a Darcey Smile Bias aside, I love Zara and very much like Freya.

The day after I gave birth, there was a woman in the bay next to me who had a Darcey too, with an older sister Scarlett.

I think Darcey flows better with your surname. The ee sound on the end is easier to turn into the O (it will become yo instead of roe IYSWIM)

I think zara is too similar to Scarlett, I know it is different in length but I find the s/z a bit of a mouthful together. I like both darcey and Freya but think darcey goes better. I don't think it is "chavy" FWIW!

I also wavered before DD1 was born and we ended up with a name not even on our radar screen (one of DH fav names but took me over six wks to get used to - was calling DD everything but!!!) and in hindsight wish I had gone with my gut. Not that I don't love her name because I do. But I am expecting DC3 and if it is a DD I am def sticking to my guns!!!

Zara is the best of the three - IMO Darcy/Darcey/Darcie and Freya are overused atm.

would spell it darcie though for a girl.

Zara is lovely (and if it's good enough for Zara Phillips...)

Darcey is too unisex and to me sounds like a boys' name (Mr Darcy)

Dislike Freya.

I dislike Darcey and Freya equally. Zara's okay though. Smile

I do know what you mean about the c word. Though I don't like it (it's a lazy and unfair description), I would expect a Darcey to be a certain type. But a child is so much more than its name and my generalisation is laziness on my part.
