Oh and I have an uncle Monty. He's got through life fine!Hmm

MrsCampbellBlack · 14/04/2011 22:06

Monty is a lovely name - DS2's middle name is Montgomery - how terribly pretentious of us Wink

Its also gaining popularity so I don't think he'll find it too cumbersome when older.

I like lots of the names suggested particularly Clementine or am very fond of Cordelia or Beatrice.

And I do think its off to comment on the name of a child whose already named as opposed to pondering on names for an as yet unborn child.

But baby names tends to be worse than AIBU in my opinion for nasty comments.

Most of the names listed here seem, to me, to be quite 'old lady cute' - not sure why that makes them pretentious tbh.

Southeastastra there is no need to be rude. I didn't ask for opinions on my son's name, I just asked for suggestions for my unborn daughter. Thank you everyone for some good ideas, am liking Ella and Emmeline. Sadly don't think Eliza would go with our surname, but love it.
