What images do they conjure up? Which is nicer? :)

And how would you spell Thalia/Tahlia/Talia? All 3 seem to be accepted!

Lydia is beautiful and very classic. Conjures up a dainty girl...a serious one! _{dkw}

Thalia...no. It IS pretty but imo it veers towards Chavesque.

FuppyGish · 13/04/2011 20:00

lydia is nice.

DaydreamDollyisshrinking · 13/04/2011 19:59

Sorry, this thread just reminds me of an earlier thread where OP was asking how to pronouce labia.... Biscuit

swampster · 13/04/2011 19:57

I know a lovely, non-dated 40-something Thalia. And my aged auntie is Lydia.

exoticfruits · 13/04/2011 19:27

Lydia

The other will date.

madwomanintheattic · 13/04/2011 19:19

thalia is lovely but v trendy at the mo. really suspect it might be the kylie of the moment. hope not as it deserves more!

lydia doesn't grab me really. i like olivia though.

pilates · 13/04/2011 19:15

I really like Lydia

Cazabelle · 13/04/2011 18:12

Talia is lovely though to be different using Thalia though you might get a few querying the pronounciation.

meditrina · 13/04/2011 18:08

Thalia is a wonderful name; I wouldn't go for Talia (just as I wouldn't use the spelling Tomas). And definitely not Tahlia as that looks as if it should rhyme with Dahlia.

Lydia is also lovely.

Spell it Thalia, say it Tahlia. I knew a Thalia-pronounced-Thayleea [boak]. I like Lydia too. Have another and use both.

SolarPanel · 13/04/2011 18:01

Both are lovely. I'd use the Talia spelling.

StealthyKissBeartrayal · 13/04/2011 18:00

prefer Lydia :)

Whatevs · 13/04/2011 18:00

Thalia is the nicest spelling, imo.

Lydia and Thalia both lovely.
