Choux, I have just suggested Livia on another thread! I love that name and I think it is just Livia. And she is gorgeous and green which makes me like the name more.

Although I hate the name Althea, I think it sounds like an infection or something. Sorry!

choux · 08/04/2011 22:26

Livia (the name of Colin Firth's Italian wife). Am not sure if her full name is Olivia or not.

I also love Althea, Viviana and Marisa

Antonella, love it. The waiter at my favourite Italian restaurant has this for his 17 year old daughter, I wish I had an Italian link to use it.

HattiFattner · 08/04/2011 22:18

(although Carmen is more spanish than italian, it does suit her!)

HattiFattner · 08/04/2011 22:17

I know 3 italian extract children...

Giovanna - she just a sweet little darling girl, but very determined

Althea - pronounced al-TEY-ah - a proud, dark and feisty little one who is just gorgeous.

Carmen - uh-oh! she is faboulously firey and has great flashing eyes and a regal strut! She owns this name!

Trinaluce · 08/04/2011 22:13

Show I'm doing next is Gilbert & Sullivan's The Gondoliers: female characters in that are...

  • Tessa
  • Gianetta
  • Fiametta
  • Giulia
  • Vittoria
  • Inez

(And Casilda, but she's Spanish IIRC)

Huge congratulations! Let us know what you choose in the end! Grin
