My eldest hates her name, help me get it right for next DC!

As we discussed the name for my bump my eldest DD, she is 11, said she hates her name, my 4 year old is yet to express an opinion...and so as my third DC is born I want to ensure i get it right!! I grew up hating my name until I 'grew into it', i want it to be a name my child will like throughout their life.. I like names which aren't common (as DD hates being one of many of Amys) but arent too out there or eccentric!

I know a friend's daughter who was nick-named 'Spotty Lottie' at school. Kids can be cruel.....

I think Evie is lovely.

I'm not sure you will get it right either, I hate my name (I think it dates me), but it's my name, doesn't everyone dislike something about themselves?
I like the name Amy btw

I think I like Lottie (I assume Charlotte?) best of all.

I don't think you can ever be sure of getting it right, since it is such a subjective thing. The name that everyone likes doesn't exist.

For example, people on here seem to love Lydia on your list, but I think it's really frumpy and not very nice. Tegan is really not a great name IMO, but I love Megan.

All you can do it choose a name you like, and just hope that your DC will like it, or learn to like it. :)
