I really like Agatha.
Also Delia, but any child would be the butt of my father's jokes (he fancies Delia Smith, unaccountably).

agree that Doris is secretly wonderful!

Hedwig3 · 04/04/2011 09:24

Doris.

euphrosyne · 04/04/2011 08:00

Gladys, Ethel, Estelle, Arsinoe, Verenike for a girl

Gladstone, Nestor, Hector for a boy

SilveryMoon · 04/04/2011 07:55

I love Ford. Wanted to use it for ds1 but dp wouldn't hear of it.

Chandon · 04/04/2011 07:46

I love Valentina for a girl. Strong yet feminine name.

Lucky DC2 was a boy though!

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 04/04/2011 07:41

Ophelia
Juliet
Desdemona

There's something about doomed Shakespearean heroines.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 04/04/2011 07:37

Gloria. I loved it but it sounds really strange with DDs surname.

ninedragons · 04/04/2011 05:46

Halcyon, Calypso, Persephone.

Adore all three but would hate it if in 80 years people were looking at my elderly offspring and thinking man, your parents were wankers.

My mum was very nearly Eurydice (we are not Greek) and was always very very glad her parents chickened out at the last moment, which informed my decision not to use any of the more out there Classical names.

Dreya · 04/04/2011 05:10

I love Jezebel, Lolita, Snowdrop, Zed. DH loves Spike. I did consider it!

Janoschi · 03/04/2011 23:02

Topsy.

Tuesday and autumn

asdx2 · 03/04/2011 19:45

Bunty nothing wrong at all I love them but they are so different to the names I chose for my lot that my family would be astounded that I'd so much as consider them.

Sylvia. Such a beautiful name to say out loud

AKissIsNotAContract · 03/04/2011 19:11

Jonah - love the name but has connotations of jinx.

turkeyboots · 03/04/2011 19:08

Always wanted Sage for a boy, but DH went grey at the suggestion.

Gertiegoolash · 03/04/2011 19:03

was going to add, thats why I used it as my nickname Grin

Gertiegoolash · 03/04/2011 19:02

Gertie, have always loved it but would never use it.

lucyintheskywithdinos · 03/04/2011 16:32

Little girl over the road is Bluebell, I love it!

My DDs have unusual but traditional names. I have a secret hankering after hippy/nature names.

freesias · 03/04/2011 14:27

i love gladys and would have happily used it had dh not said over my dead body.

I love lots of foreign sounding names - in particular boys names - that would sound stupid with my english surname and lack of foreign ancestory eg Marco Raphael Giovanni

belgo · 03/04/2011 13:44

Bathsheba
