Eloise or Louisa

My very favourite name in the whole world (this week :)) for the bump is Eloise. DH is unsure about whether it tranfers well as an adult name and has also suggested Louisa which I like very much as well.

Which do you prefer and what is your opinion on Eloise? Middle name would probably be Kate. DD is Sasha Isobel.

Louisa is my favourite

Eloise definitely. Like the shortening of Lois too.

Louisa by a long way - gorgeous name.

I'm a Louisa. I've only ever met a handful of Louisas in my life (I'm 37). I know quite a few little girls named Eloise. This doesn't mean that there aren't an equal amount of Louisas of the same age, of course.

The only problems with Louisa are people will assume you are called Louise and you may get called Lou - both of which are fairly irritating.

Eloise is lovely.

I know 2 Louisas in their 40s so that puts me off, nice name though.

I prefer Louisa personally, especially with Kate, but no problem with a grown up Eloise...

Louisa as Eloise is quite popular at the moment round here!
