I need inspiration

I don't know the sex yet as my 20 week scan keeps getting pushed back, but I want to think of some names and would like some outside inspiration.

My daughter is called Carmen (after her great grandmother) Lois (after my mother). I'd go with family names for this one but nothing grabs me.

We prefer names that don't end in 'a' or 'o' (although I quite like Cleo). Trenchant names, perhaps older names but not the old names that crowd the current list of 'most popular'. Nothing frilly or trisyllabic.

So far names that have popped into my head are Francis/Frances, Audrey, Lester, Joan (that's a family name, so would be good)

Secretly I really, really want call this child Clovis. We jokingly already call it Clovis. My husband is currently leaning towards Pebbles. Someone stop us!

Regarding 'a' names. Can't really say why I prefer others. I won't rule them out certainly, if you have some good ones. I think they suit some children. Just hear a lot of really frilly three-syllable names where I am and I am more a fan of a plain simple name (despite my user name...)
