I've always loved the name Noor which means light. Doesn't begin with S but thought I might still be able to tempt you!

I have a beautiful Muslim friend called Soraya - sounds pretty too.
Various meanings - princess/star/light/jewel - see www.nametranslation.co.uk/names/meaning/showdetails.asp?mid=320.
And congratulations!

I love Salma, which means safe. Also quite keen on Sumaiya although I don't believe things ended well for the 'original' Sumaiya. It's literal translation is woman who listens well and I like how it sounds.

Congratulations, whatever you decide.

How about Scheherezade? I know one (Iranian origin, but I think it's also an arabic name) - she gets called Shari for short.

Or Farah is nice.

i wanted that for a girl but i am having a boy
