Name for sister to Arthur and Edward?

I've just given birth to an adorable DD2, but DH and I are struggling to decide on a name to go with Arthur and Edward. We'd like a classic name(but not old-fashioned) that goes well with Arthur and Edward. Please help!

Achneinmeinbein · 30/03/2011 22:56

Oh slow to post didn't see update. Olrm great! Congrats

Achneinmeinbein · 30/03/2011 22:54

My immediate thought was Celeste but I think that's just because Arthur and Celeste are Babar's cousins...

Love Ottilie. Or how about Odette?

MrsSchadenfreude · 30/03/2011 22:39

I have an Ottilie.Smile

Really like RM as middle names!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 30/03/2011 09:35

Glitter just wondering if you stuck to Ottillie and put lovely name on the Census.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 28/03/2011 19:45

So glad you haven't been swayed. Still think they are very beautiful names. Am very Envy at your 3DC and all with such lovely names Smile

Gotta be Elizabeth or Mary - carry on the Henry VIII theme!

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 28/03/2011 03:02

Oh, just seen that Rose is your Mum. Sorry. Ignore that then it's just my personal campaign.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 28/03/2011 03:02

Any chance I can talk you out of Rose? Every single girl born in the last five years has Rose as a middle.

But I love love love Florence and Ottilie from your shortshortlist.

brightcopperkettles · 28/03/2011 02:56

No worries eurycantha, I knew a beautiful Anita so think of the name as such :).

ValiumSingleton · 27/03/2011 21:11

Flora, Clara and Rosie would sound like sisters to an Edward

Dulcie, Lois and Edith sound like sisters to a Arthur

devoncreamtea · 27/03/2011 20:55

Florence is the one I reckon! Gorgeous name, goes well with your other childrens' names and has great nn potential: Flo; Floss; Florrie. good luck!

kangers · 27/03/2011 20:47

yes everlong loving the shortened TILLY.
OP definitely needs to go for Ottilie now you've said that.

MerryMarigold · 27/03/2011 20:46

Louisa sounds the best. Don't like Ottoline at all. How about Eleanor?

I knew an Octavia who was 'Otty'. (She was built like a house and played lacrosse so well everyone was terrified of her. It's somewhat put me off the name, but it is pretty!)

kangers · 27/03/2011 20:34

bet it will be shortened to Tavvy.
Like it, but Ottilie is a bit softer- but as someone said earlier- it will shortened to Otts or Otter.

Bumperlicioso · 27/03/2011 20:30

What about Octavia? Have a friend with a baby called Octavia and I think it is fab.

Like all of your choices though.
