My dh loves the name Lucas but I am not so sure because I think it rhymes with mucus and my yet to be born son will get picked on at school!
Or am I being ridiculous?!
What do you think of lucas - yay or nay??

I didn't until my Lukas was born and my older son, then only 17 months, couldn't say his l's. So for several months, his baby brother was sadly known as 'Mukas' and people used to visably flinch when he said it! I am pleased to say however that over a year later, the problem has been resolved!

Lucas/Lukas/Luke - all lovely names

devoncreamtea · 25/03/2011 13:01

No! Nor will the kids at school, they're more 'snot' than 'mucas'!! Lucas is nice, but Luca is GREAT (as is Cass....) if it makes you feel a bit weird tho, perhaps it's not quite right? What are your other ideas?

Domesticbodess · 25/03/2011 10:08

I'd never thought of that! Wouldn't worry about him being picked on; not many school children use the word "mucus"!!

jellybeans · 25/03/2011 09:49

No never thought that.

I do when I hear Marcus though. (sorry to any mothers of Marcus'-I do like the name still)

PassTheTwiglets · 25/03/2011 09:07

Lucas reminds me of a lazy little boy I taught. Not a bad name though. :)
