Getting into a complete tizz about which to pick.

I love Anna but is it too safe and dull?

Is Daisy twee and is it as timeless as Anna?

Which would you rather be called?

Anna

Very biased here as DD1 is Anna and we love it! Timeless, elegant, travels well, known but not common etc etc. I quite like Daisy too but do think it would date more and not be so easily transferable across the age ranges whereas Anna is cute for a wee girl and lovely for an older girl and woman, IMO. I personally would rather be Anna, but also think Anna Daisy is lovely if you didn't have another mn planned! Smile

Why not use Daisy as her middle name? Then you could use it as a bit of a NN whilst she is little and it also gives her the choice if she would like to be referred to it as her name when older.

I think Anna Daisy sounds beautiful - simple but elegant Smile

Just love Anna so beautiful.

Would have used it myself but with my surname sounds rather similar to 'a lemon meringue' when put together!

Not a fan of daisy.

I like both as I have both, We have a Denise but called Daisy as it was decided Daisy might not work well for an adult but also called Upsy Daisy Do and Anna Banana--

Anna - it also travels well, certainly in Europe.

ValiumSingleton · 24/03/2011 15:33

Anna is beautiful. I also like Nina, Ellen, Beth, Joy, Faith. Beautiful simple names. Less can be more in a class of Christabels and Gabrielas sometimes. (disclaimer, I like both of those names!!)

Daisy is quite nice, but it will date so much more than Anna will. Daisy is also a tiny bit 'away with the fairies' in its vibe. dykwim? NOT that I don't like it. I actually do like it..

CorrieQueen · 24/03/2011 15:26

Anna, very very pretty and not at all dull. Really beautiful name.

NormanNorris · 24/03/2011 15:14

Anna. Timeless and stunning!

Daisy is twee and will date along with all the other cutesy names. The new Wendy maybe? Not necessarily a bad thing but I'd rather be called Anna.

Hedwig3 · 24/03/2011 15:05

Anna- not dull at all, simply elegant! Smile
