Looking for a 'celebrity' baby name

OK, now if I'm honest, I would say that I genuinely like the unusual names that celebrities give their children. My faves are probably names like Bluebell, Blossom, Peaches, Honey, Tallulah Bell and Betty (for girls) and Romeo, Kingston, Cruz and Ever (for boys). Although I am not a celebrity, I would like a real 'celebrity' name for my next child. I wonder if I am alone in this, or if anybody else feels the same? I doubt that I would have the guts to do this, I will probably end up with something boring from the Top 100, but it's fun to imagine.

So tell me, what names would you go for if you had artistic licence to choose whatever name you liked?

By the way, please feel free to take the piss and post ridiculous names - I will probably like them Grin

My Mum used to laugh at me for wanting to call a girl Snowy/Fluffy/Kitten.

Small animal/Porn star names I realise but hey..each to their own Smile

Tennessee, for a boy.

I would also quite like to name my first born son 'Blind Willie Tuesday (he plays the blues)', but it would be a bit awkward if he turned out to be tone-deaf.

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 26/03/2011 14:36

Yeah, I guess. I think it's a really nice name.

I assume Mila Jovovitch's Ever has their father's surname? Ever Jovovitch is one heck of a mouthful!

Myleene Klass has gone for Hero Harper this time round for dd.

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 26/03/2011 08:50

"Who on earth has a child named 'Ever'?"

Mila Jovovich and Alanis Morisette both have DC called Ever.

Basically anything pretentious as long as you yourself can say it with a straight face!!
But what about Serenity? You can just hear it now: "Serenity, stop picking your nose!!" Ha ha ha ha!!

Wafflenose · 25/03/2011 20:08

Not celebrities, but I once taught a girl called Monet and a boy called Blaze, and wondered if you might like those?

CaptainNancy · 25/03/2011 20:08

WHo on earth has a child named 'Ever'?

piebald · 25/03/2011 20:06

What makes me laugh is in the middle of the OP there is BETTY--how weird and unusual is that!!
Ever must be a bit of a confusing name to have

ValiumSingleton · 25/03/2011 20:02

Quick google. Brian Austin Green (he's an actor)

ValiumSingleton · 25/03/2011 19:59

I think there is a sleb who has a Kassius, but I can't think who. Now that is sleb! Taking a Roman name like Cassius and inserting a germanicky K instead! Confused

My DS shares a name with the sons of Tom Hanks and er, Davina McCall. Nothing wrong with a non-MN-approved name IMO... go for it.

ShirleyKnot · 25/03/2011 13:00

Nope. Please call your child Heron Pondalgae though. Purleeeeeese!

Don't be silly!

I think you should stick to a name like "raymond" or "simon" cos seriously? If you call your kid "Heron Pondalgae" or something people WILL take the actual piss and you seem a bit...um, sensitive?

BornAgainDomesticGoddess · 25/03/2011 12:09

"Blimey BornAgain - in your OP you said "please feel free to take the piss" or something similar."

Yeah, I meant 'take the piss' with name suggestions, not criticising my parenting by suggesting I was going to get my DC beaten up!

current faves are Armageddon and Pomegranate (from one of the Shopaholic books).

my DS would really suit being called Armageddon actually!!
