James or Seamus?

James is a meaningful family name on Mom's side. Most men on Dad's side have Irish names/spellings, Dad included. Both go equally well with (Irish) surname. Child has about an equal chance of being raised in Ireland or the U.S.

Your thoughts?

Seamus is much better, more unusual but still classic. James is a bit bland and boring imo.

I prefer James.

Sorry, by "Mom" and "Dad" I mean me and DH, not my own Mom and Dad. Thanks for any feedback.
