If we decided to call our baby Thom/Tom or Thommy/Tommy which is the preferred spelling? I think Thom/Thommy looks a bit more classy.

Please dont suggest we call him Thomas as it is not an option.

Thanks

Or Tommy, obviously.

If it were me, I would do anything in my power to prevent my child having to go through life spelling his name.

I have a conventional name with an unconventional spelling, and there's not a day that goes by when I don't have to spell it for someone/don't receive an email because someone spelt the first part of the address wrong/feel insulted because a "friend" has written something to me and got my name wrong.

It's exhausting. Stick with Tom, he'll thank you for it.
