Caspian ...

I have always loved the names Casper and Caspian (after reading the Narnia books) and have considered both as potential boy names along with Edward, Alexander and Quinn. However, many people comment on Casper being the 'friendly ghost' and not too sure what others think of Caspaian (Cass for short). So I thought I would put it in front of the MN jury. Caspain Edward would be the full name (Edward after my grandad). Opinions please... I can take it Grin

I like Casper and don't think of ghosts. Lots of names relate to films/books after all, and this film is not "current" any more.

Caspian is a bit "frilly".

If I have another DS he will be Casper. Yes, it is a bit ghosty, but those films were ages ago now and people will quickly begin to associate the name with the child rather than the cartoon.

Caspian...a bit wanky, sorry. Casper is better but yes, he will always be called the friendly ghost. I wouldn't do it to one of my kids.

Edward, Alexander and Quinn all very nice though.

Casper sounds like the brother of Tarquin

Caspian I'm fairly certain is not really a name in the real world - but a sea - I am sure there are one or two Caspians out there of course

Cass is a girl's name - Mama Cass from the Mamas and Papas

Sorry, I really dont like either name - Casper does immediately invoke images of the friendly ghost for me and just think Caspian is, I dont know, a bit silly really Blush

Edward, Alexander and Quinn are all really lovely (although Quinn is a bit of a surname to me, I still really like it). Dont think you can go wrong with any of these 3.

if you can take it
