How many children do you know with these girls names?

DD2 is a few days old, and people are constantly asking for a name, as it took me almost 6 weeks to name ds. Had a name chosen, but not sure it suits her now, was going with Elizabeth nn Betsy.
Everyone thinks im being silly saying she'll grow into her name, but changed dd1 name by deed poll as her name never fitted.
She looks like a Matilda to me, but am worried how popular it is, esp in trendy areas of london.
How popular are these names? and which do you prefer? Want her named by saturday so I can stop avoiding the phone, lol

I have a Bella nn Betsy. Love the anme, although Betsy really isn't that popular, it seems.

I really like Kitty (love Catherine, too, though!) and Matilda.

Martha is Ok, but a bit wet, imo.

Hate Jemima. A doll's name.

I think I'd choose Martha from your list perhaps. I don't dislike any of them though.

One Matilda, spelt Mathilde, Norwegian decent parents.
None for the others.
I know a Kitty though, but it is a cat.

They're quite rare in secondary schools - 1 Martha, 1 Matilda and I know of a 6yo Jemima.

I love the name Martha, and I love Elizabeth too. Lots of permutations for Elizabeth so if one doesn't suit you can switch it.

I know 1 Kitty.

I always wanted Jemima as a name but I wasn't allowed to name DD2 (that weas Daddy's choice by law apparently...)

I live in Wales. I know a 4 year old Martha and a 3 year old Betsy, but no children called Matilda, Jemima or Kitty.

And before anyone comments, my MN name comes from a fictional character Grin

I like Martha the best closely followed by Betsy as a short version of Elizabeth/Elisabeth. Matilda I like Mattie but not the full name for some reason, Jemima not a fave

I know 1 Betsy, 2 Marthas and one Kitty (she is Kitty-Boo though)
No Matildas or Jemimas

out of the ones you mention I only know a Matilda (known as Tilly) and Kitty and they're sisters!

I know two or more each of Matilda, Martha and Kitty. No Jemimas or Kittys though.

I know an Elizabeth and a Martha. Martha and Matilda were both on our shortlist, but after deciding on a -a middle name they didn't make the re-draft (of the final draft!) all gorgeous names IMO.

I know of 2 Matildas both know as Tilly. It is a fab name and if it suits her then go for it! I like Elizabeth too as she could be Eliza, Beth, Betsy etc... good luck. BTW how old was your DS when you changed via deed poll? Was it a hassle? Did you get used to the new name quickly? I may have the same issue soon!

Betsy - (1 but aged 21; she has been Betsy since DD1 first met her at age 4)
Matilda -- 1
Martha -- 6 aged 10 and under and one about age 21 so 7 in all (none of them know each other afaik)
Jemima -- 0
Kitty -- 0 under age 87; 2 aged 87 and older.

Out of children I know one Matilda, 1 Jemima and an Elizabeth who is called Beth. I know a Martha who is in her early 30s.

I love Kitty (only know one - husband's gran) and I love Betsy.
