Can I have your thoughts on these names. We have got an Edward Alexander and are considering some girls names that we like which are:

Felicity Isobel
Annabel Sophia

I love Annabel with Edward.Smile

After speaking with my other half over a glass of wine, I think we have narrowed it down to Felicity Annabel or Annabel Sohia or Felicity. OH has also said he likes Emilia and Alexandra as first names but think Alexandra is too close to my DS's middle name.

I like Felicity Annabel best, then Annabel Sophia.

Isobel doesn't go with either Felicity (iss/iz) or Sophia (ee-a-is) IMO. Isobel Sophia would be nice.

brightcopperkettles · 26/02/2011 01:50

I like Felicity Isobel followed by Sophia Isobel. Not overly keen on Annabel personally :).

RiverCity · 25/02/2011 23:10

I think they are all really lovely names. I like Isobel - not just for the sound, but also how it looks when it's written down.

As for Felicity - sometimes it can be shortened to Flic, and I think that's nice too.

Maud2011 · 25/02/2011 23:02

All lovely names but personally I prefer Isobel first - as in Isobel Felicity; Isobel Sophia.

montylady · 25/02/2011 22:52

I meant to say I hadn't considered putting these two names together, even though it seems like an obvious combination now.

Thankyou so much for all your oppinions. It is nice to see a little more positive feedback about Felicity. PepsiPopcorn - I hadn't considered Annabel but I really really like your suggestion Grin

Felicity Annabel or maybe Annabel Felicity...oooh will discuss this possible option eith other half, although I know he really likes Isobel.

How about Felicity Annabel?

PepsiPopcorn · 25/02/2011 22:28

I do like Felicity (and the meaning) but Felicity Isobel has too much iss/iz.

BelligerentGhoul · 25/02/2011 22:26

I like Isobel best and would choose Isobel Felicity, so out of the ones you've listed I'd choose Felicity Isobel.

Rhubarbgarden · 25/02/2011 22:22

I prefer Felicity.

rinabean · 25/02/2011 21:19

Felicia is nicer than Felicity in my opinion, and obviously it's the same name with the same meaning :)

Ondine · 25/02/2011 21:15

I like Felicity best, it's underused, has a lovely meaning and is feminine without being overly cute.

Sophia also nice but much more popular.

Annabell is a bit fussy and cute imo. Prefer Anna.

Misfitless · 25/02/2011 21:00

You did ask so I'll be honest - I think all of those girl choices sound a bit pretentious, sorry!

growing3rdbump · 25/02/2011 20:50

Edward and Annabel sound good together I think.

montylady · 25/02/2011 20:25

Still weighing things up and considering my DS's name:

Edward and Felicity
Edward and Annabel
Edward and Sophia

montylady · 25/02/2011 20:23

I really like the meaning of the name Felicity but can see that it is not as popular with other MN. What are the negatives do you think - just weighing things up Smile

Annabel Sophia or Sophia Isobel - lovely names!

pilates · 25/02/2011 20:18

Like your names except Felicity.

montylady · 25/02/2011 20:08

Thanks - that was quick Grin
