Sister for Isabella

I am due a baby girl at the end of Feb. DH and I already have a gorgeous 2 year old called Isabella Rose. We would like a name preferably ending in A but not beginning with S as our surname does, goes well with Isabella and quite classic(not too eccentric). We would be very grateful for suggestions!

If you don't like Charlie you could have Charlotte and NN Lottie

Sorry, just realised something.
This should be:

love Sophia but both myself and DH's name begin with and S as does our surname.

I have an Isabella and if I had had another Dd I think I would have gone with a shorter name as Isabella and say Amelia are too much of a mouthful. As it happens we had a DS, if he had been a girl I think we'd have called her Ruth or Ava.

BabyIsabella · 23/02/2011 10:00

The only ones that have stuck out for me so far are:

Victoria
Aurelia
Amelia/Emilia
Alexandra
Charlotte (but I detest Charlie)
Ophelia (but not sure if I could actually us it)
Anastasia (one that DH likes)
Octavia (gorgeous but is it a bit old-fashioned?)

love Sophia but boy myself and DH's name begin with and S as does our surname.

Both DH and I like Mae/May for a middle name

Ooh it would have to be Sophia/Sofia for me.

runnermum2 · 22/02/2011 21:47

Victoria
Francesca
Amelia
Olivia (too popular?)
Sophia
Eliza

PukeyMummy · 22/02/2011 21:44

Madeleine is pronounced Madel-IN (English) or Madel-EN (French) - this is the traditional spelling (IMHO).

Madeline is Madel-EYE-n.

Underachieving · 22/02/2011 21:43

I think Amelia and Isabella go well together.
