Worst spelling of perfectly ordinary names? Elyviya anyone?

I have met a Danyal, Daniol, Naiphthan, Caytie and an Alivia. Why do people consign their children to a life time of 'no, that's Daniel spelt...'? Any equally terrible ones out there?

friend's DD has called her baby Mia, which I quite like but discovered it is to be pronounced My-ah! which I also like but would have spelled differently.

I had an email from a Sharn (Sian I presume) once. I also saw a Brie on facebook (presumably Bree - Brie makes me think of cheese!)

The most recent one I've come across is Jorgie. For a girl. Just looks so terribly wrong. It isn't short for anything - just Jorgie. Yuck.

Isn't it tempting to spell the poor child's name "correctly" when you see these ridiculous spellings just to annoy the parents or show them how thick they are

I saw a Holliegh - I thought it was a typo and the mother meant Holleigh at the very least, but no, she meant Holliegh...

I know a Daysie and a Kinnidi. (Pr Daisy and Kennedy of course Xmas Hmm)

And a Xhadyn. Which is Zay-den. But that isn't a normal name anyway.

I was watching an ancient episode of The Crstal Maze last night and there was a girl on it with the name Kertreena (typed on name badge and pronounced Catriona)!.

As well as the old 'La-a' chestnut, there is always someone who vaguely remembers hearing about someone called Yvonne pronounced Why-vonny or whatever.

We have a couple of reasonably normal names, but with extraneous punctuation at nursery.

Cam'ron springs to mind.

Analise- surely Annalise, looks too anal to me.
Micheal- mis-spelling of Michael, parents were considering deed-poll
Kianu- as in Keanu
DJ- short for DJ
Arry- not remotely Scandinavian (Ari)
Klo-e - Chloe
Hanner- why oh why?
