I grew up with a Bibby, whose real name is Elizabeth.

expectingno3 · 19/02/2011 15:47

Arabella?
Anabel?

berryshake · 19/02/2011 14:19

Brodie
Rebecca (Becky -> Bibi)
Briony
Belle
Bunty
Brianna

I agree - any kind of B-name.

BeattieBow · 19/02/2011 11:55

Our Phoebe is called Bibi a lot (since ds2 pronounces her name like that) . She is also Bee.

Otherwise I do know a grown up with the name Bibi too.

SilkStalkings · 19/02/2011 11:38

We have a B surname and considered Beatrix just for the nickname/initials gimmick. But she was a boyGrin.
Could also do it with DD (DeeDee), CC, KC, VV (Vivi) or GG (Gigi).

bucaneve · 18/02/2011 23:10

Bibiana
Belen
Bethany
Bridie

bamboostalks · 18/02/2011 22:03

Me too! But dh said it sounded pretentious. I still love it though, wish I had lobbied more for it.

tomhardyismydh · 18/02/2011 22:00

I was going to call my dd sybilla, but i couldnt say it with a cmfertable feeling it doesnt role off the tongue well

tomhardyismydh · 18/02/2011 21:58

babette!! I once knew a bautifull little american girl named babette. she was often shortened to bibee

bamboostalks · 18/02/2011 21:56

I have a friend who is BiBi from Sybil. I love the name Sybilla. Think it's beautiful.

UrsulaBuffay · 18/02/2011 21:54

My Phoebe thinks her name is Bebe I'm sure, as that is almost all I call her Blush DH calls her Bee.

thebountymuncher · 18/02/2011 21:52

DD is Bee.

Not saying what her real name is,as it's been considered "chavvy" on here.
It's very close to Bethany though.

Love the name Phoebe. Smile

Highlandgirl · 18/02/2011 21:48

SpringHeeled i beg your pardon...little old moi..sarcasm..one would never Grin

Benazir Bhutto is often referred to as Bibi!!

I think the initials way might be the best way forward.

laosvher · 18/02/2011 21:45

Bethany?

SpringHeeledJack · 18/02/2011 21:41

I hope that's not sarcasm, young lady!

How about contriving initials BB, or maybe Elizabeth Bsomething- then she could conceivably be Betty Bsomething, then BiBi?

Highlandgirl · 18/02/2011 21:35

As per normal Mumsnet have been very helpful...

Bibbitybobbityhat

Pterosaur · 18/02/2011 21:27

Absolutely anything beginning with 'B', I would think.

SkipToTheEnd · 18/02/2011 21:25

Phoebe? DD has been bee for a while now since ds called her that.

Also have a friend with a DD called Biba.

And another with a dd called Bethany which the shorten to bee.

PatriciaHolm · 18/02/2011 21:21

Barbarella? Grin

HeartShapedValiumSandwich · 18/02/2011 21:17

Belinda?

or anything beginning with B with the middle name Phoebe?

BikeRunSki · 18/02/2011 21:16

Babara

Or two "B" names eg Beatrice Belinda nn BB

Have a friend Josephine Joan nn JJ.

Beamur · 18/02/2011 21:15

If you like the sound of bibi/bebe - what about Hebe as a name?
If you like Bebe, why not just use that. It doesn't have to be short for anything.

cece · 18/02/2011 21:14

I know a Bebe who is just Bebe
