So we've had a thread recently about the best surnames, and I was wondering what the worse ones you've come across are.

Once came across someone with the unfortunate surname of "Wank". Yes, really. He was from another country and didn't know what it means in the UK.

My mother had a client once called Miss Bottoms - she made her wedding dress.

I guess you get used to whatever you have for a surname, but some are more likely to result in teasing.

NormanTheForeman · 16/02/2011 16:43

I don't really like ones that have bottom in them, e.g. Ramsbottom, Winterbottom.

Also I know someone whose surname is Pratt, and his fiancee really hated it, so he changed his surname before they got married.

CameronCook · 16/02/2011 16:40

I worked with someone whose surname was Cundick
