Audrey, Charlotte/Carlotta , Olimpia or Ottilie ?

Few days to go this is our final- hopefully - shortlist. Middle names will be Vittoria and Vera after my sister and dh's mother.

Had to giggle at "Olimpia" Don't like it all with the 'i'. Then again not so keen with the 'y; either

I thought Etienne was a boy's name is it French originally ?

DH is English and Olimpia in Italian is spelt with an i, but I agree the "limp" bit put me off as well, even if I did not realize that before..

It is my gran's name and I love it, even if now I am worried that it might be a bit too difficult to carry. Although it could be shortened as Pia ( did not realize it is quite popular in England at the moment ) or Ollie.

Interesting Audrey you would not wish your name to anyone... may I ask you why ?

Also is Vera really terrible as a first name ? We got a lot of opposite reactions !

Last question, is Charlotte very posh, dh thinks it is and is it really so popular at the moment ? i think is n.14, but I do not know anyone with that name. The Italian version Carolotta is also really popular in Italy (love Lottie as a nn).

Olimpia is not great. If you do go for it please use Olympia!

Carlotta is lovely, really like that. I think it's because a girl was called that in a book I once read.

I love Charlotte and Audrey - I cant decide which I prefer. When I hear Audrey I automatically think "Hepburn" and the class associated with her (mustdash you are mad! Smile) but then Charlotte is so beautiful you really cant go wrong..

Ottilie is ok(ish) but not really to my tast and Olympia is absolutely terrible.

I like Olympia with a "y" very much. Olimpia has the word "limp" in the middle, which puts me off.
