What do you think of this name? is it too old man or simply classic? it wouldnt be usually to my taste but popped into my head today and both myself and dh think we like it....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes you see I never really think of Arthur Daley or Fowler but just of King Arthur.

BakewellTarts · 12/02/2011 21:17

I love Arthur if I ever had a boy it would be my first choice...I think of the once and future King...

DH on the other hand hates it and cites Arthur Daley...

I guess its a good job we only had girls....

Arthur is not an awful name - its lovely and romantic and chivalrous and strong.

tammy234 · 12/02/2011 21:11

Awful, sorry.

traceybath · 12/02/2011 21:04

Really I chose names that we liked and remember those who don't like it - well you'd probably hate their favourite names Smile

rachel1970 · 12/02/2011 21:02

Really dislike Arthur, sorry.

A remake of the movie 'Arthur' starring Russell Brand is out this April.
Just so you know - incase things like that tend to change your opinions on names.

Not keen on the name Arthur myself though tbh

It's now old enough to be classic.
