My Grandfathers name happened to be Barp. However I do really like Snicker. Definitely not Wardy and I'm not even sure Roys a real name. xxx

yes snicker has always been a favorite of mine too as has thorb which has been passed through the generations on my husband's side
and i believe roy is a real name as it is the name of our neighbour's dog.

Thorb? As in broth almost backwards?

JoanneWesleyBaratt · 09/02/2011 22:22

We had that same problem when we named our little Croydon. Turned out the child down the road was in fact called Stevenage, haha. We currently expecting a girl and we're torn between Urethra and Prawn'all Hmm

I know an Edward known as Wardy!

QuestionNumber · 10/02/2011 09:49

That's why I said "almost backwards" :o

I like Snicker especially, I saw in a Vogue that it was becoming big in countries like Brazil and Paraguay.

I never knew anyone called Barp when I was a kid as I lived on the west side of Chinley, but when I moved to Scunthorpe, I saw Barps everywhere.
It was just BARP BARP BARP.

I did have a grandad called Bort, he chose that name himself though, so maybe you should just stick with Barp, keep it sensible you know.
