I know 3 Alexanders, none if the others!

EightiesChick · 06/02/2011 21:14

Alexander is the best - very adaptable, good in long and short versions. Alexander Edward is a great combo.

MelinaM · 06/02/2011 21:11

I like Alexander and Edward, personally I'd go with Edward as it's one of my favourites! Felix is very popular 'on trend' at the moment! x

A1980 · 06/02/2011 21:07

I like all of them but Alexander is my favourite. It has the best NN. Alex is better than Ed.

No opportunities to be teased eiher ;-)

ilovesprouts · 06/02/2011 15:03

my cats caleed felix Grin

TransatlanticCityGirl · 04/02/2011 20:12

Awww.. I would have voted for Felix for sure!

It's less common and adorable. It may be very 'now' here in the UK but in France and the Province of Quebec in Canada it's quite popular.

Jojay · 04/02/2011 13:24

My Ds2 is Edward Alexander Grin

Christmasbelle · 03/02/2011 11:35

Hi all. Thanks for the responses. I think that Alexander Edward may be the winning name at the moment. Xander would be the name used as a shorterned version, which I think is lovely.

Although personally, I think Edward Alexander rolls off the tongue a little better but obviously it is her choice in the end Smile. She does love Felix but was a little worried that it may date quicker than the other two names, although she has also been considering Alexander Felix. Mmmmmm we shall see Grin

felix is a trendy name that I think will date very quickly. While Alexander and Edward are both timeless classics.

Rhubarbgarden · 02/02/2011 20:18

Edward. It will take him anywhere.

Lots of little Felixes (Feli?) round here and I have an irrational loathing of Alexander.

sparkle12mar08 · 02/02/2011 19:37

Alexander every time. Timeless and classical.

pointylug · 02/02/2011 19:21

You can't use Ned in scotland.

TotorosOcarina · 02/02/2011 19:18

My baby due May is going to be Felix,

I like that someone said Felix's are naughty, he already kicks the hell out of me so i think it may be true!

Hulababy · 02/02/2011 19:16

I much prefer it to Ed or Eddie.

CharlieBoo · 02/02/2011 19:12

Ooh Ned is lovely Hulababy...not a nn for Edward that sprang to mind but its really nice and different.

ComeAlongPond · 02/02/2011 19:12

Don't really like Felix.

Love Alexander and Xander but really don't like Alex, so for that reason I'd probably say Edward.

pointylug · 02/02/2011 19:00

I'd choose edward because I love the name Ed or Eddie.

I like Alexander because I like Alex a lot.

Can't be doing with Felix.

Jojay · 02/02/2011 18:55

Edward, Felix is a bit too 'now' for me.

Ed is a great nickname.[biased]

Hulababy · 02/02/2011 18:53

Edward.

Love the nn Ned for Edward.

CharlieBoo · 02/02/2011 17:14

Edward and Alexander are nice. Lots of possible nn's.

bigbluebump · 02/02/2011 17:06

Anyone who owns a cat will not get away from the cat food association I guess.

Edward and Alexander are both safe names, which I personally find a little dull.

flower38 · 02/02/2011 15:57

Edward and Alexander both great not felix.

porcupine11 · 02/02/2011 14:56

Felixes I know are all very, very naughty!
I like Edward as you can have so many short versions. And Alexander is DS1's middle name, v good.

Edmundo · 02/02/2011 14:54

Edward
Alexander

Felix

Felix is so middle-class trendy and I just hear Fee-licks.

Edward is brilliant.

Hedwig3 · 02/02/2011 14:48

Not Edward.
