What does everyone think? Part of me loves it but don't know if I could actually use it?! I loved Noah but that's too popular now...do we think this will get as popular??! Confused

Be careful - if you live anywhere in the South East he will probably be "Seff". My ds's friend is "Efan" at school - ds actually thought it was spelled like that until he was about 8!

I would have said "Sess" until I was about 10 as well!

I like it. It's a really strong name - did you know Seth (or Set) was an ancient Egyptian god of darkness and chaos?

I work with a Seth and he's a very competent colleague, so I have good vibes for the name!

I like it. But be aware that the name won't 'travel' very well as no German, French or Spaniard can pronounce it properly Grin.

I love it.It's gorgeous, and one of my favourite names.

MackerelOfFact · 28/01/2011 11:09

DP really wanted this for DS but we have a surname with a 'th' in it, plus I thought it would be a bad name if he ended up with a lisp. (Nothing to suggest he would, and he hasn't, but you never know!)

I do like it but it doesn't really have any strong sounds in it... it's difficult to shout because of the 's' and 'th' sounds.

It's fine, not my taste really but OK.

Really love it.

Like it think it's getting more popular recently but not excessively so.

strawbs I love it. I want to ask what lastname is but I know you can't tell me. IMO single syllable firstnames go really well with lastnames of any number of syllables - you can't go wrong unless your lastname is Best or West!

OOOH yes ...do it do it do it!
