That's it really, I really like pie but am stuck for a 'proper' name that could be shortened to this.

Thanks!

Or Elizabeth, if you want to go classic.

LeB0F · 15/07/2012 02:13

Why, Velvet, of course!

Which has the added bonus of including a relative of mine, Arthur Shields, who rides alongside Elizabeth Taylor in a cart. #claimtofame

We call dd Pie because when she was a baby her brother used to say she was a cutey-pie. Same boy calls me Chinchilla ..

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/01/2011 09:23

Grin @ 'pie lady'. I may have to name change!

I'm not sure on Pie or Pepper given that I know what your other DD's name is Grin

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 28/01/2011 21:44

So Pepper is a No then?

Asta? Greta? Heidi? Gah! this is too bloody difficult.

sorry to butt in but I know a really hideous woman called Pie, and her real name is CherryAnn,

wildspinning · 28/01/2011 21:41

I am a little bit hysterical after reading this thread.

Pepper Pie is good. Adelbert Pepper Pie is very good.

Pie is simple.

onimolap · 28/01/2011 21:35

Fanny?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 28/01/2011 21:29

I'm reconsidering and now thinking of Pepper. I seem to have a fondness for names that are also foodstuffs Confused

Any nice German Girls names so I can stop using my kitchen cupboards as inspiration?

I used to call dd1 Pie-Pie!
It used to be Sweety Pie, or Honey Pie, or Lovely Pie etc then it just became Pie-Pie! Silly really, and stopped when she went to school. Can't imagine it as a full name, but that's just me.

TallulahdoesthehulainHawaii · 28/01/2011 19:12

Ahhh fuck it, call your baby Pie. Makes for an interesting life doesn't it?

evamummy · 28/01/2011 13:06

Pia is a lovely girls name imo.

PlanetLizard · 28/01/2011 11:05
Biscuit
AllieW · 28/01/2011 10:08

I'm really not keen on the idea of Pie as a nickname, far too much tormenting potential.

Why not something similar, like Pip, which could be short for Pippa?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 28/01/2011 08:20

My DD's NN is Bobbins. Nothing like her real given name.
OP, if you are serious about this, I think you are exceptionally cruel. Nothing funny about being called pie.
