i got a name i really like and me boyfriend likes it to so we thought wed give it the same for both.

what doyou think is it a good idea or allowed from the law. we were thinking of jenn jenn or maybe jennifer jenn. my name is jenn as well so we know we like it

DH wanted to call first DS OurSurname so he would be OurSurname Oursurname with the twist that the spellings (but not the pronuciations) would be slightly different.

Luckily the baby in question was DD2 and the argument never ensued. I still think he was being serious. Confused

hello thanks again for all replays some funny ones but also good that some peple are seeing what we want to do here. its funny but me and me boyfrend both have the same last name as well but were not family or nothing like that. its smith so nothing like jennings which would be well funny. if he sticks around and we get maried itll be well easy not having to change it. fact is that a kid nowadays need to have a diffrent name look at the celebs and that, Jenn Jenn aint that stupid if you look at what some of them are called and theyre makeing loads of cash aint they

I like it you could call dd1 jennifer jenn-jenn,
dd2 jenny jenn-jenn, dd3 jenn-jenn jennifer and dd4 jenn-jenn-jenny.

Excellent Idea.

Is your surname jennings? If not maybe dpoll would be a good idea, just to really give the name an edge?!

Hatterbox · 26/01/2011 14:43

Why would you want to do something so utterly ridiculous?!

You could just do a George Foreman and name all your children the same name - you and your DP could be Jenn I and Jenn II, this baby could be Jenn III. It will go on forever so it doesnt matter how many children you have.

Acanthus · 26/01/2011 14:37

Love that poem, reality.(did you get fed up of typing by the end? Grin

Acanthus · 26/01/2011 14:35

But the Jen Jen thing. She'd get all her forms returned to her for her whole life as people assumed she had filled them in wrongly. Or is it a boy? You're giving a boy two girls' names ? That is original.

Ivor Bigun

Bertina · 26/01/2011 14:33

Jenn you're a bit late to the party.

Google 'Boutros Boutros-Ghali', dear.

It's not illegal to call your kid the same name twice, but it is fucking daft.

Acanthus · 26/01/2011 14:32

I think the OP is missing a trick here. There are so many options for interesting combinations of first and middle name. Albert Hall. Walter Wall. Mike Hunt....

StickyProblem · 26/01/2011 14:31

Was it AA Milne who wrote
James James Morrison Morrison?

It works for Boutros Boutros Ghali...or does it...

toiletrollcover · 26/01/2011 14:30

How about "Chin Chin"?

purits · 26/01/2011 14:29

Acanthus your idea will only work if the DP is a piper.
Or an installer of sat nav.

purits · 26/01/2011 14:27

Just noticed you are also a Jen.
Do you know that DP could change his name by deed poll. How about Jen for him, too.

ShirleyKnot · 26/01/2011 14:25

Kiki Kiki mnight be a bit much Mario - be serious Hmm

Acanthus · 26/01/2011 14:25

How about Tom Tom? Sounds like a nice traditional name, people won't find out he's actually been named after a drum for agesGrin

purits · 26/01/2011 14:25

Why not call DD1 after your choice (Jennifer) and you can call DD2 after DP's choice (Jennifer).

Confused
Thingumy · 26/01/2011 14:25

I'm liking Jenny jen jen-certain ring to it...

ShirleyKnot · 26/01/2011 14:25

How about Nine Nine Nuh nuh nuh nuh Nineteen

MarioandLuigi · 26/01/2011 14:25

Erm Jenn isnt a real name is it?

You could try Kiki?
