Just noticed you said YOUR name is Jenn too

O M G ... you couldn't do that to a child

You'll sound like you have a stutter every time you try and tell someone your child's full name.

CharlieBoo · 26/01/2011 20:56

Oh this has had me in stitches....tooo funny...

Tidey · 26/01/2011 18:35

If there's only one name you like, then just use that on its own. You don't actually need to give the baby a middle name. The only time I ever use my middle name is when I'm filling out forms.

I'm sure this is a joke thread, but just in case...

And there are of course:

Robert Robertson
David Davis
Kris Kristofferson....

Oh how the winter nights fly by.

montysorry · 26/01/2011 18:06

Actually, with regards John John- I remember reading a JFK biography and they called their son John John. Well, they didn't actually name him that, they just called him that. Why?

montysorry · 26/01/2011 18:04

You could always go for a slight variation like, Ding Dong, said in a Terry Thomas accent!

Or maybe Trip Trap is more apt?

Minione · 26/01/2011 18:02

This is brilliant! I went to primary school with a John Johnson which I always thought was a bit silly, but Jen Jenn - oh, I'm crying with laughter!!

Thanks for cheering me up, Jenn! I really hope this is a wind-up 'cos go help the poor kind if this is in anyway genuine.

TeenageWildlife · 26/01/2011 17:57

DD's classmate changed his name to Stanley so that he is now Stanley Lee. Maybe you are married wiv im?

GetOrfMoiLand · 26/01/2011 17:57

Jennifer Jenn

John John

Boutros Boutros Ghali (hang on, that's real. Oh fuck it and lol anyway)

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 26/01/2011 17:55

you must do this
we need another Neville Neville

MarioandLuigi · 26/01/2011 17:53

I like the idea of Junior Senior, or the other way round.

Was laughing and DS asked why - he has read the thread and says he likes the idea of Ping Pong Ding Dong :)

Habbibu · 26/01/2011 17:48

Catch 22, anyone? Major Major Major Major...

RespectTheDoughnut · 26/01/2011 17:10

I went to school with a Steven Stevens. I'd forgotten that until just now Grin

Bunbaker · 26/01/2011 17:03

A lot of Welsh names have the same christian name and surname though. I use to work with a Tony Antonio and we used to call him Tony Tony.

Buda · 26/01/2011 16:57

I did actually work with a guy who was called something like John Johns. Really. Parents had no imagination. Or hated him. One or the other.

BonzoDooDah · 26/01/2011 16:54

Victoria? That's a Queen's name innit.

Anonymousbird · 26/01/2011 16:38

A wind up, but a very funny one!!!

"Katie" "Victoria" and "Kerry" - not at all normal, oh no!!!!!

LaydeeC · 26/01/2011 16:33

pmsl
this is blardy hilarious...
surely a wind up, no?

Fimbo · 26/01/2011 16:30

I would bin the Smith if I were you. Far too ordinary for your tastes I would have thought.

What you need is to have the name of your first pet as the first name and your mother's maiden name as the surname and voila.

I could have a kid called Goldie Garty for instance. Or Geegee for short,

Bunbaker · 26/01/2011 16:28

I am laughing out loud at this thread - one two one two LOL.

"You could just do a George Foreman and name all your children the same name - you and your DP could be Jenn I and Jenn II, this baby could be Jenn III. It will go on forever so it doesnt matter how many children you have."

That reminds me of the Monty Python sketch where all the pets are called Eric. They then go on to sing a song called Eric the half a bee.

TragicallyHip · 26/01/2011 16:22

I quite like 50 cent, I was thinking of calling ds 75 cents. He's bound to be famous then!

RespectTheDoughnut · 26/01/2011 16:17

Mario, that's the point! She wants to cut out the bother of assuming a stage name by blessing her bubba with one from the off!
