What do you think of Faye as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

Hedwig, I always think of Grange Hill too. The Faye on it was very pretty, maybe why I like it.

mandy1978 · 26/01/2011 21:35

like it!

NotAnotherNewNappy · 26/01/2011 21:17

Lovely, due a come back. Makes me think of Queen of the Faye (sp?) and fariy mythology.

Hedwig3 · 26/01/2011 20:54

Always makes me think of Grange Hill! Just me?

I love it. Our surname begins with a T, and running that into Fay gives you "fate", which is weird to me. Otherwise, I would use.

Go for it

Ooopsadaisy · 26/01/2011 20:38

Love the name Faye but it could be tricky depending on your surname.

LiquoriceLila · 26/01/2011 20:37

I think Faye is a lovely name. Prefer it with the "e" spelling

daimbardiva · 26/01/2011 13:42

I like it - was acutlaly considering adding it to my own list. Like the spelling with an 'e' too.

swanandduck · 26/01/2011 13:01

I like it. Very gentle feminine name.

shouldnotbehere · 26/01/2011 10:24

I like it too.

Quenelle · 26/01/2011 10:21

I like it. It's feminine but simple.

Don't mind either spelling.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 26/01/2011 09:41

I like it, probably without the 'e' at the end though.

fairybubbles · 25/01/2011 23:53

I like it. I would go with the "Faye" spelling personally.

lololizzy · 25/01/2011 22:46

hmm i know a dreadful Faye (who makes my life hell) and likes to think she's all fey (faerie) like, but really is more ogre like

Hassled · 25/01/2011 22:45

Agree that Fay is nicer.

NormanNorris · 25/01/2011 22:45

Don't like. Weak sounding and sounds very dated to me.

ZhuZhuhell · 25/01/2011 22:42

i love it as its dd1 nameGrin

PlanetLizard · 25/01/2011 22:41

What NancyDrew said.

Prefer spelling Fay as can't see any point of the extra e.

Greeninkmama · 25/01/2011 22:38

Pretty!

NancyDrewHasaClue · 25/01/2011 22:37

I don't like it - really wishy washy and obviously sounds just like "fey" which has negative connotations.

Rhubarbgarden · 25/01/2011 22:33

Bland.

cece · 25/01/2011 22:24

Very nice.

horsemadgal · 25/01/2011 22:22

I love the name Faye.
