After 33 weeks of bickering me and DP have finally picked 3 girls names we agree on. :)

Francesca
Felicity
Edith/Edie

Now it's just a case of picking one of those Confused

Francesca, definitely. I wouldn't choose either of the other two.

However, since you've got three names you both like, the best thing is to wait and see which one your LO looks like when they arrive :) Good luck!

Francesca and Felicity are both gorgeous. Not so keen on Edith although Edie is passable.

The only Francesca at school went by Cessy. Felicity can be shortened to Fel, Flick or Fliss in my experience.

NadiaWadia · 28/01/2011 02:17

Francesca is lovely, Italian and classy. I know a girl called that and her nickname is 'Chess!" Frances, on the other hand, I find a bit dull.

Edie is nice, but not Edith - Eden maybe?

Felicity is OK but a bit jolly hockeysticks maybe?

Feeb1 · 27/01/2011 08:02

Felicity "Treacle" will forever be associated with Ms Kendal of the Good Life. Given how she has endured that can be no bad thing.

Edith is a bit Piaff! So non rien de rien.

Edie is good, though someone is bound to say it Eddie at school just for a laugh.

Francesca will mean she is called Frankie. Always think about the short name - do you remember me.

Go Felicity "Treacle" and if you don't know about the "Treacle" check out the Young Ones.

Think Felicity's lovely, not a fan of Francesca though, just really dislike it for some reason! Blush
Think the definite worst is Edith though, it makes me think of little old ladies and not little babies! Smile

hatwoman · 26/01/2011 13:28

Edith

Hedwig3 · 26/01/2011 13:25

Edith

Christmasbelle · 26/01/2011 12:48

I love love love Felicity. My DD has it has a middle name but it was in close running as her first. Beautiful Smile

shouldnotbehere · 26/01/2011 10:42

Felicity

diddl · 26/01/2011 08:11

Felicity.

WannabeMoors · 25/01/2011 23:37

I like Edie, then Frances

Less keen on Edith or Felicity

FunnysInTheGarden · 25/01/2011 22:48

like them all, also know a Francesca, nn Chessie, which I like too. Also used to know a Felicity nn Fizz - maybe a bit too 80's though!

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 25/01/2011 22:43

Felicity is lovely :) (I like Fliss or Flick)

Edith - too old fashioned and reminds me of 'Allo Allo.

Francesca - the only one I know is a lying, cheating, husband (not mine) stealing bitch who treats her own kids like crap and everyone elses too... so no, not keen on that, although there may be a little personal projection there maybe [bgrin]

Rhubarbgarden · 25/01/2011 22:40

Felicity or Edith. Both lovely.

Don't like Francesca.

NormanNorris · 25/01/2011 22:34

I have a feeling that Edie is the new Evie. I still love it though and would pick this from your list.

cece · 25/01/2011 22:31

I have found that I have to wait till I meet my baby before I decide on the final choice. TBH I haven't ever gone with our first choice of name, it has never suited any of them! They have always had one of the others from our list. Escept DC3 who had to wait 4 days before we could think of something that suited him.

nancythenaughtyfairy · 25/01/2011 22:25

I like Francesca

BarbieLovesKen · 25/01/2011 22:16

Francesca - beautiful
Felicity - beautiful
Edith/Edie - dont like Edith at all. Sorry.

I like Felicity best. I think its really stunning.

freshmint · 25/01/2011 22:14

ah now you see I think felicia is lovely

it is definitely the associations with wet people that colours felicity for me

mistressploppy · 25/01/2011 19:45

Felicity is nice. My middle name is Felicia which is similar. I think it's a lovely name, with a lovely meaning

JojoMags · 25/01/2011 19:42

Felicity is gorgeous and love Fliss/Flis as a nn. Also really like Edie and Francesca, but would personally choose Felicity.

ComeAlongPond · 25/01/2011 16:58

Felicity.

Really not keen on either of the other two, I'm afraid.

wouldliketoknow · 25/01/2011 16:57

i don't like any, sorry.

Just10moreMinutes · 25/01/2011 16:49

I have only ever met one woman named Felicity and she was intelligent, confident and far from wet....

In fact I was quite in awe of her and it may explain why I love the name so much

Just10moreMinutes · 25/01/2011 16:36

Felicity is gorgeous. Classic and more unusual than Edie or Francesca these days.

The name also has a nice meaning (lucky)
