OP posts:
purepurple · 23/01/2011 09:38

Nobody uses second names though, do they?

thebrownstuff · 23/01/2011 09:39

Saw the thread title and was coming to say don't do it if it was about a name...
you can always change.

purepurple · 23/01/2011 09:39

Anyway (sorry posted too soon), ignore us. He's your baby. Who cares what we think?

Georgimama · 23/01/2011 09:40

Did you spell it correctly?

thebrownstuff · 23/01/2011 09:40

BUT...on the other hand if you like it and think it suits baby and family. then who cares what anyone else thinks? I mean, Betty Kitten sounds fine on her...

onimolap · 23/01/2011 09:50

Actually, in the middle it's OK.

And I would think fabulous bird, rather than place name.

clumsymumluckybaby · 23/01/2011 09:53

yes i promise we spelled it phoenix i even double checked it last night.[panicky emoticon]

oh fuckidy fuckidy fuck...dp named dd and ive always prefered my choice (her mn) so i let him do mn this time, and i got fn choice.

in future dp has no say in anything.

he just cannot be trusted.

(you should hear the names i vetoed![shock)

OP posts:
clumsymumluckybaby · 23/01/2011 09:55

yes omni it was the bird, and not the place we were going for... thanks for that ray of hope....Wink

OP posts:
Georgimama · 23/01/2011 09:56

In the scheme of things it's not that bad. And it is only a middle name, so unless you plan to call him Arlo-Phoenix all the time, it's not going to get used much.

It will be a good talking point at job interviews if he turns out to be an accountant rather than a rock star.

I may be boring but for me children's names have to pass the binman/Governor of the Bank of England test.

clumsymumluckybaby · 23/01/2011 09:58

i know i do that test too...i must have been hormonal,or worn down.

i wanted arlo edward

he said it was too boring hrumph.

OP posts:
Georgimama · 23/01/2011 10:01

Edward is lovely, I'd use that for another DS but it's my brother's name.
