has anyone given their DC's initials that spell a word?

What is that word and have they had any problems because of it?

We're currently struggling as we know we want to name our DS Benjamin but surname starts with G and all the middle names we like seem to spell something or otherwise unuseable e.g. BAG, BEG, BFG!

Just looking for some advice!

DS is TIGER. I did it on purpose to be amusing. He thinks it is stupid and doesn't use the Elvis.

My brother was CPAP and when he wrote his initials on his stuff my other brother followed him around putting a line on the first P to make it an R..

Had one dim comment when she was born which I ignored. Since then no problems.

My friend's initials spell CLIT his brothers spell TWAT... thier Mum claims she really never 'got' the problem...

Someone in my brother's year at school always told the story of how her initials would have spelt SLY if her parents hadn't realised and reversed the order of the names. It didn't concern my husband's cousin when he gave his son 3 Christian names which with their surname spent RAGS, don't think he has ever been teased. I was quite glad in hindisight that DS2 was a DS though as our chosen girl's name would have made him JAB. I don't think any of yours would be too bad OP

DH's granny's initials would have been SAM when she was little but her parents changed the order round so she is still called S but it is her middle name.

However when she got married this meant her initials became ASH so she is still a word :)

ds1's are the make of an expensive car, one of the first things FIL said was "he won't be able to get the (private) number plate with initials like that".
Oh yes, cos that was one of my considerations when naming my child.

Hey! My initials are actually FAB, my mum chose it because she liked it. Was quite cool putting it in on exam papers etc.

Want to do the same with my DS but not married so think it might be tempting fate it would end up spelling something rude

When I was looking though I remembered my granny used to have a crossword book (used for scrabble too, ah the wholesome days!) with 2/3/4 etc letter words. I found if I googled "3 letter words ending in B" I could usually find a site listing all known 3 letter words. Go through with dictionary and list up any potentials. Good luck! I think it's a lovely idea. I liked ORB for a long time, very circular and lighty. (Not a hippy, honest!).

My mother's initials were ARS!
Husband's initials are TAB, hasn't caused him any grief (he is a computer geek though, what's in a name?)

I have an 'W' tattoed on each bum cheek.

When I bend over, it says 'WOW'.

(or 'MOM'. Depending on which way you look)

DTD1's initials are DOC. DTD2's are EMC. I'm a bit arty farty and wanted fancy Shakespearean middle names, whilst DH is a bit of a Science geek. I convinced him to let me have my Shakespearean middle names as the initials were decidedly Science-ish E(E=MC2 anyone?)

DSIS's initials were BO before she married, which I found hilarious as a teenager.

my DD's spell out FEM i thought about this too ( even started a thread) am now dating someone with surname beginning with K if things got serious he would have to change surname...she cant have the intitials FEK!

DD1 has the initials CAP. We did want Rebecca in the middle too but realise what it would make just in time .

DD2's initials are GAP which she thinks is fantastic when she gets clothes from a certain shop.
