We didn't think - now got a naming dilemma!

Namechanger because this identifies me and my kids undoubtedly...

So me and DH didn't really think through our name decisions just went on what we wanted...

So DS1 is called Lucas Gabriel Andrew because my DH's GF was called Lucas, I loved Gabriel and my DH is called Andrew

DS2 comes along and we name him Leon Silas Robert because I love Leon, My Dad is called Silas and my DH's brother is called Robert.

We realise a pattern... all Ls so when DC3 comes along and is another boy we think it will be a good idea to do all Ls so DS3 is called Lloyd Matthew Benedict.

Now I am pregnant with DC4 and it is a girl but we like NO names for girls that begin with Ls but we can't exactly not go for an L because we don't want this child to be the odd one out....

Please help and suggest some girl names beginning with L!

DD will be different as she's a girl anyway. Pick a name you like, and if you have any more girls, perhaps that can be your girls' name letter Smile

mathanxiety · 16/01/2011 03:31

You have the ideal opportunity to break the pattern since this is a girl - I suggest Julia Molly Rose.

BellaMagnificat · 16/01/2011 02:16

Leonie
or as suggested
Louise
Laura
Lillian
Lydia

But why do they all have to begin with L?

proudfoot · 16/01/2011 02:01

I like a lot of L names:

Lucy
Lara
Louisa
Laura
Lily
Lillian
Lydia

but I don't think you need to go with the them if you prefer another letter!

minkiemoo · 15/01/2011 23:11

All I can think of is the scavo kids in desperate housewives who's names begin with P!!!

Think it would be nice to break the pattern of a first name beginning with L, and you have some lovely family names to choose from.

lovemybabyboy · 15/01/2011 22:37

I have 2 sisters (no brothers), both their names are first name S middle name E ( i think this was a coincidence) my name begins with K. I never felt left out! Smile

activate · 15/01/2011 14:39

guess what your 4th child won't fit anyway because she won't have a penis so surely the name won't matter

LOL

activate · 15/01/2011 14:39

you are barking mad

Merrylegs · 15/01/2011 14:37

Take the 'a' from Julia and stick it on the end of Rose.

Rosa.

Don't go for another L name. It sounds a bit mad, tbh.

Clary · 15/01/2011 14:28

I would make a point of not picking an L name.

Or everybody would think you did it on purpose.

I know two families where everyone is the same letter (inc parents) and always wonder if it's deliberate!

Both Ls as well, wierdly!

BikeRunSki · 15/01/2011 13:33

Loreli
Lousia
Leonora
Leititia

Raahh · 15/01/2011 13:31

jennifer is lovely- know lots, but all in their 40's! Jenny is a lovely nn. Julia is also very nice- there is a 4 yo one in Dds reception class- very pretty. Also has an 'L' in it...

You could have a middle name with an 'l'-
Jennifer Rose Louise
.

Ooh, I like that....Smile

PlanetLizard · 15/01/2011 10:24

Elle.

MrsMcCave · 15/01/2011 09:03

FWIW, I know a family with all L names (no,its not you!) and they are known as 'the bloody Ls' - I would say this is your opportunity to get away from the possibility of that label...
