Isaac all the way here for me, My ds2 is Isaac James :) I just love the name and Isaac George sounds lovely. Go for it! Good luck with the baby xx

babeinthewood · 10/01/2011 23:33

Isaac is great with George. My DS1's middle name is george but sometimes I wish Id used it as a first name!

clarkland · 10/01/2011 23:31

Isaac is lovely, goes well with George and means 'laughter' which is a great meaning.

Clueless79 · 10/01/2011 19:58

Isaac and Milo are lovely and go with George. Have you thought of George as first name?

friedeggs · 10/01/2011 19:44

Thanks everybody, we are now leaning towards Arlo or Jasper, we will see what the little fella looks like when he comes out (smile) xx

I think Milo, Arlo and Isaac go best with George, and they're all lovely names.

Personally I'd lean towards Milo or Arlo as they're more unusual names, but I am fond of Isaac too.

George is a nice solid, friendly sounding name, but quite conservative and better as a middle name IMO.

Hello,

This may be a little late if you've already made up your mind, but for what's it's worth:

Jasper - Nice, a bit different
Milo - Not keen - not sure why
Arlo - Like this a lot
Joel - I have difficulty pronouncing this for some reason
Isaac - nice, but depends on your surname as it can sound like "I suck" - if your surname is a noun it may sound inappropriate (e.g. Sara Cox' son is called Isaac - hopefully he has his father's surname rather than hers...)

Good luck!

ThatllDoPig · 09/01/2011 11:40

I like Joel best from your list too. but agree that is doesn't go with George.
George is the best name! Use it for first!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 09/01/2011 09:11

They are ok but much prefer George.

tummytickler · 09/01/2011 00:59

Isaac George is lovely.
Or George Isaac.

anythingwithagiraffeonit · 09/01/2011 00:15

Jasper is a really lovely name! And it is perfect for baby / child / teen / adult which is rare... X

llareggub · 07/01/2011 22:07

Just call the kid George!

LittleYellowTeapot · 07/01/2011 22:05

From your list I'd choose Jasper Smile

Maternelle · 07/01/2011 21:44

Jasper or Milo. I really dislike Isaac.

friedeggs · 07/01/2011 21:21

Thanks everyone for your comments it's been a real help :) cheers x

Jasper

Edmundo · 07/01/2011 19:45

I like Jasper and Milo best. Arlo is ok but is too much like Harlow. All very 'on the up' names mind.

theagedparent · 07/01/2011 18:28

Milo

MistletoeMush · 07/01/2011 18:25

I think Jasper will date as will Milo and perhaps Arlo. I love Joel but don't like the sound of it with George. Like Isaac but it is quite popular

CupcakesHay · 07/01/2011 18:12

Love Joel - but doesn't go with george.

Then Milo then Jasper then isaac then arlo - which i hate. sorry!

earwicga · 07/01/2011 18:07

Isaac

JojoMags · 07/01/2011 18:06

I'd go for Isaac George, which is lovely, or Milo as second choice. Agree with others that Joel and Jasper don't go with George, and really not keen on Arlo (sorry) - reminds me of Aldi and Netto for some reason!

SlightlyTubbyHali · 07/01/2011 18:03

Jasper George - 2 clothing lines (Debenhams and Asda)
Milo George - is fine
Arlo George - I like, but perhaps not if you live in Essex
Joel George - to me these seem a little incongruous. Perhaps because Joel makes me think of america in the 1980 and George is a "grandad" name, so not sure about this one
Isaac George - tbh I just loathe the name Isaac for no reason at all. I'm clearly in a serious minority here though!

Sorry, I'm never much help with boys names, but out of those I reckon Arlo would probably be my preferred one.

Or perhaps I'd use George as a first name.,..

morethanyoubargainfor · 07/01/2011 17:57

Jasper-like it on its own but not with george.

Milo-like this one

Arlo-Love this one, my favourite from your list

Joel-same as Jasper

Isaac-like this one a close second to arlo

NewYearNewPants · 07/01/2011 17:56

I love Joel and quite like Isaac and Arlo. Not keen on Milo at all, sorry (dog's name!).

Isaac George sounds good

I like Joel better, but Joel George just does not go.
