Going to have DD5!

FiveGirliesArgh · 05/01/2011 21:06

Just found out that I am going to have a fifth DD and feeling a bit lost about names...

I was certain I was going to have a DS and we had decided on Clement Sherlock Nathaniel with Clem as a nn.... (I am into literature in a big way so couldn't resist slipping Sherlock in there somewhere)

Our DDs are called Louisa Sian Mathilde, Emmeline Cerys Isolde, Julia Estella Adele and Beatrix Evangeline Grace.

Please come up with some suggestions because I can't think of any other names I like!

DesertOrchid · 03/02/2011 21:38

Theresa? (As in Mother Theresa).

Seems like it would go beautifully with your other girls' names.

nappyaddict · 03/02/2011 21:38

And Frances :)

BTW are you 5 girls or singletons or have you gotany multiples in there?

Lillian Rosa Clementine?

Clemency always reminds me of capital punishment and petitions for clemency, rather grim.

(Still love Aphra Elizabeth/Frances))

ThatllDoPig · 09/01/2011 11:43

How can dh like Clement for boy, but not Clementine for girl?! What about 'Oh my darling oh my darling. . . .!' It's a gorgeous name.

pinguwings · 09/01/2011 09:43

I adore Aphra. It's feminine, classic and strong. Aphra Behn is an incredible role model.

I'm crossing everything that it doesn't become the next Ava or Evie.

lots33 · 08/01/2011 21:11

Gwendolen is a lovely Welsh name.

mamaloco · 08/01/2011 20:21

Lilian is really nice. Are you going to name her Lilian S.. M... X? Then initials don't matter Wink

AnnOnimous · 08/01/2011 18:24

I really like Lillian and Lillias, and Lily is a nice short form.

FiveGirliesArgh · 08/01/2011 18:08

My DH has suggested a name for the first time this pregnancy ... Lillian

What do you think? I'm not sure about having a same initial as another DC?

AnnOnimous · 08/01/2011 12:19

Rosa, after Rosa Parks.

Avocadoes · 07/01/2011 21:03

I really don't like Aphra. I am not sure why. Your other DDs have lovely classic names. I know it isn't, but Aphra sounds made up to me.

Clemency is much nicer. As are most of your middle names. Of all the names on this thread my fav is Nina.

NewImprovedJollster · 07/01/2011 20:55

Hmmm, am concerned that Clemency is becoming more popular... it was to be MY name Grin. Well not mine obviously, but my DD.

Clemency Eliza would have been a future DD.

But you can have Clemency too :).

pranma · 07/01/2011 20:35

I love Clemency and it would take Elizabeth Aphra as middle names

FiveGirliesArgh · 07/01/2011 20:26

We have got it definitely narrowed down to two now...

Aphra Frances Elizabeth (or Aphra Elizabeth Frances)
Clemency Rosa Marie (or Clemency Aphra Elizabeth which I quite like?)

We talked to the DDs today and got hardly any sensible suggestions (Fifi, Cinderella and Iggle from the younger DDs) but my DD1 suggested Elizabeth as a middle name so I do think I would quite like to get that in there somewhere!

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 07/01/2011 07:21

I love Clemency Rosa Marie and Aphra Frances Elizabeth. Clemency is one of my favourite names though so I'd probably go for that.

Congratulations on all your DDs :) Beautiful names all round.

mamaloco · 07/01/2011 06:36

the best is Clemency Rosa Marie but I prefer clemence to clemency.

bambiandthumper · 07/01/2011 00:10

Aphra Clemency Nell is beautiful :)

Rhubarbgarden · 06/01/2011 17:37

I love all your middle names, especially Constance Magdalena. Less keen on those first names though, sorry.

NewYearNewPants · 06/01/2011 17:10

Aphra is divine!

Not keen on Willa at all.

Clemency is a very hard name to carry, I really wouldn't.

Isadora - too fussy and just reminds me of strangled ballerina.

Louisa, Emmeline, Julia, Beatrix and...

Xenia
Luella
Selma (LOVE this)
Eugenia
Drusilla
Thora
Lillian
Cornelia
Ursula
Agatha
Ida

mathanxiety · 06/01/2011 17:08

My favourites are

Aphra Frances Elizabeth (maybe Aphra Elizabeth Frances)
or
Willa Constance Magdalena (or switch Constance and Magdalena)

FluffyDonkey · 06/01/2011 17:06

Clemence? (French)

Am so impressed at your having 5 girls and having named 4 of them! (We can't even decide on one girls name!)
