I'm thinking Anna, Emily, Claire, Mary, Katy, Lucy, maybe Sophie...
What about April?

rusmum · 31/12/2010 09:25

i have a Ruby and a Rose and would have Olive next time

boodleboot · 30/12/2010 11:20

i would say Alice. We have an Alice and would deffo consider Rose for any future DD. Both classic, understated and beautiful.

We get so many positive comments about the name Alice....

Rose and Kate - perfect!

wetwelly · 29/12/2010 21:52

wow - some fabulous suggestions...

Alice is lovely - but we know several close friends with dd's called this..

Annie - love this..

Elsa, Pippa and Nell all great..

and kate is simple and timeless.

hmmmmm...

Janus - your names are lovely.. for boys names I liked Ned and Tom I seem to remember - oh, and Isaac..

Tangchi - great name taste!

will have a think but probably not a flower name I conclude..

Oh no!! definately not another floral type name - way too Mrs Bucket for my liking.

Kate would be beautiful with Rose

wetwelly, I have a Rosie that we call Rose quite a bit. I have 2 other daughters, Lottie and Tilly.
I am now pregnant with number 4 and convinced it's another girl. Very spookily, my shortlist is Nell, Florence, Isla and Stella, in about that order of preference (just can't quite get my head around calling my daughter same as David Cameron did!!!). I love Nell the most, I think, will probably be just a Nell.
(btw, did you have any boys names in mind before you knew it was a girl, I have no ideas?!)

DessieLou · 29/12/2010 18:30

So many good suggestions. Your lucky DP likes Iris, my OH thought I had lost my mind and asked if I was going to give birth to 90 year old!
Nell is short for Helen...Helena is nice, but Nell on it's own is good too. I believe Vic Reeves has a Nell.
Personally I like Eliza, Pippa, Lydia...pretty and timeless just like Rose. Have a look at literature such as Austen, such lovely names around then.

Mrsmackie · 29/12/2010 15:13

Alice

belindarose · 29/12/2010 15:06

I thought Abigail or Helena when I read the thread title.

theagedparent · 29/12/2010 14:48

I know 2 sisters Rose and Iris, I think they sound lovely together

CoteDAzur · 29/12/2010 14:43

Lily?

Rosebud05 · 29/12/2010 14:41

I know a Rose whose sister is Florence. Very nice combination.

Grace also lovely and, like Rose, not that popular as a first name.

RatherBeOnTheMulledWine · 29/12/2010 14:00

The Nell we know is nearly 10 and is Helena. DD has a friend who has recently starting calling herself Nell or Nellie ( she is 14 ) and her name is Ellen.

ZZZenAgain · 29/12/2010 13:57

Sophie?

Avocadoes · 29/12/2010 13:51

I love Iris with Rose. Both gorgeous names. I see no probs with two flower names.

Other classic English names would work too:
Matilda
Kate
Mary
Eliza
Emma
Imogen
Annie
Margaret

strawberrycake · 29/12/2010 13:50

I liked Elsbeth, Eila, Alia, Isolde if I had a dd

strawberrycake · 29/12/2010 13:46

Eleanor/ Nell? Rather nice. Not too popular, I do like names with the choice of a good nc (I have one myself, so does ds)
