Not, not another flower. Two girls I met today have names that might suit - Ottilie and Esme. Clara is lovely - goes well. Or what about Judith? Maeve is nice - though what about going out on a limb with Mavis! I think it could son be fashionable again.

mathanxiety · 02/01/2011 20:17

Oh now Maeve is lovely, with a soft sound like Rose, and one syllable too.

Simmylou -- names have their own colours for me too! How crazy is that...

Simmylou · 02/01/2011 09:33

Rose and Clara go beautifully IMO.

Both really lovely in their own right.

Makes me think of the colour rose pink (obviously) and then Clara makes me think of the colour violet which is a lovely and pretty combination (odd I know to have colour associations with names, but I do!)

I also like Rose with Alice (which incidentally is a lemon yellow name Smile)

mathanxiety - I was contemplating both Tess and Clara as new suggestions! They havent been suggested on here..

Rose and Tess - seems to work?

Rose and Clara - just love this as it reminds me of my love affair with The Nutcracker as a wee girl..

Any thoughts on these two?

Also.. How about Rose and Maeve?

I have an Eliza and am pondering a Rose (full name Rosina, after my nan) for DD2. Also love Kate and Alice with Rose.

pipplin · 01/01/2011 14:23

Nell or Freya or Florence
I love Nell. My name could be shortened to Nell. I'm quite sad I don't suit being a Nell.

AnnOnimous · 01/01/2011 12:54

Just a thought, but as she is due in April, what about April?

I wouldn't go for another flower if I was you.

I think Kate goes very well with Rose, as does Emily.

kate is lovely with rose, or how about Rebekah and Rose, (tis me and my sis)

meandjoe · 01/01/2011 09:20

I think Anna sounds nice with rose. Florence is OK but a bit too frilly sounding.

Janus · 31/12/2010 18:01

Wetwelly, I like Ned too, forgot about that one, the others are Finn (but I think there are masses of them now) and, oh dear, forgotten the other one!!
I also like Kitty, Kitty/Rose a nice mix??

Annie is a beautiful name - but I am bias my DD is an Annie :) And I agree, it goes with Rose.

Although maybe too much if you are a Shirley Hughes/Alfie stories fan? (Annie Rose is the little sister).
