Opinions please on this very welsh name. Dh thinks it's a bit harsh sounding but I rather like it. It means much loved one in welsh for a girl by the way!

I knew a girl at school with the name - I thought it was pronounced Ann-Harrod, but I'm probably wrong!

onepieceoflollipop · 18/12/2010 20:52

I think I can pronounce it but not sure. Can anyone spell out phonetically how it is pronounced please?

snownelly · 18/12/2010 20:50

Yes I like it - but Im welsh & can pronounce it

FrannyandZooey · 18/12/2010 20:40

it's lovely but it is hard for people to say right
if it is going to bother you when people pronounce it wrong for years and years then don't do it
(i speak from experience)

It's a beautiful name. All the Angharads I have known have been lovely.

Angharad?
I find it hard to get my mouth around.

I have heard Angharad which I think is quite nice if one likes Welsh names? Is Amgharad a version of this?

Jic · 18/12/2010 20:25

Sorry, Angharad
