JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 22:37

Yes, Neaden and Willesden would be great names for twins.

And of course, Perivale could have the nn Perry

Paddington (I actually REALLY like this)
Elverson
Gallions Reach
Mudchute
Neasden
Parsons Green
Perivale
Tooting Bec ..or Beckham even!!!!
Finally the Piece de resistance ...Cockfosters ..would certainly make for interesting dinner party convo's!!!!

Tehehehehe keep them coming!!!

That makes me think - I know of a Prince, and a King. Why not Earl?

Hav just thought of another great Essex one - Theydon Bois (pronounced Feydon Boys in Essex)

Yes Sydney for a girl. There were several locally born in 2000. I wonder if 2012 will inspire lots to call their DC London....Let's hope not!

nagynolonger · 10/12/2010 18:22

There is a place called Earl Shilton. It sounds quite posh for a name, but sadly the place isn't.

I seem to remember there is a village called Piddle.

JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 18:18

or Vange

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 18:17

Oh - I've just been told there is place in Surrey called Titsey - Jordan could use that for one of her offspring maybe

JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 18:17

Yes, I think Homerton fits the sort of surname -as -first-name aesthetic which is popular ATM. And of course, it conjurers up the image of pure class ...

Lechlade (in Glos) - for slightly creepy people
Leek (Staff) - if they have a bladder problem

JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 18:15

I went to a tube station fancy dress once - High Barnet (beehive hairdo) was one of my favourites

If I were to go by where" DD 1 was conceived then she would be "Homerton"....which is a little better than Hackney Central.

DD2 would be "Camberwell Green" which is better than both.

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 18:13

Doncaster (Don for short)
High Barnet (suitable only for tall people)
Hoo - (place in Kent) - suitable for confused people or Doctors

JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 18:13

Perhaps conceived in the back of a Bedford Van on the way to Bedford?

nagynolonger · 10/12/2010 18:13

Sorry I hadn't realised you wanted silly ones.

AllieW · 10/12/2010 18:11

Poor thing. Sincerely hope it was a bloke, though, would be harder for a girl to carry it off, I think!

nagynolonger · 10/12/2010 18:11

I quite like Devon for a boy, and Eden for a girl.

It's a bit old fashioned now but I know a male and a female Beverley.

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 18:10

I used to know someone called Bedford

AllieW · 10/12/2010 18:08

Wasn't Cully in Midsomer Murders meant to be named after somewhere in France?

JamieLeeCurtis · 10/12/2010 18:08

yes, I am really

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 18:07

You're after sillier ones than that aren't you?

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 18:07

India
Sydney
Georgia

MardyQuickFollowThatStar · 10/12/2010 18:05
