Sibling name that goes with Christian?

Please give suggestions for a sibing name to go with Christian and Isabella. We don't want trendy, and chose Isabella before it became massively popular - so not too 'common' popular would be good. We liked the Scandinavian association with Christian, as DH works/ed there a lot. Unisex names are def out, or anything that's very biblical eg Isaiah, Elijah etc - as it's too much with Christian IYSWIM. As are any names ending in ella.

3+ syllables works with our surname, - and our sibling names. Big thank-you for any help.

I would have been Christian if I had been a boy! I got a scandi name though!

How about
Elin
Ingrid
Catriona
Matilda

Sebastian
Tobias
Mathias

I agree, it's not. I think we are all choosing from a broader mix of names now. Just wish DH would catch up.

On DH's 'too posh' list, I mean (Ah pregnancy)

I didn't think it was posh - just cute!

MuffinMouse · 06/12/2010 20:09

Actually I really like it. DH has a 'thing' about any name he thinks is too posh (Theo, Thaddeus and Barbaby are on it). Though this is beyond me!

My brothers are called Christian and Edward.

BelligerentGhoul · 06/12/2010 20:03

No, Vi is awful.

Glad you like the suggestions!

Another boys' name I love is Thaddeus - but I think that might be a bit much for you!

Loving your suggestiong Belligerent. Particularly Benedict, Barnaby and Hermione. Got a feeling this one is a girl.

Can't use Beatrice - though really like it. Not sure about Vi as a nn.

On the right track though.

Love both Christian and Isabella.

Benedict / William / Timothy / Bartholomew / Barnaby

Hermione / Beatrice / Vivienne / Violet

No thanks - and Mohammed is out, also Hindi/Hindira etc.

TrailMix nn hints at a well travelled/broad perspective ahem....
