Hi all. I have been on here a couple of times already so hopefully, this will be the last time that I need to pick your brains. After many hours of discussions me and DH have finally got it down to two girls names. Our surname sounds like kind. The two names we have chosen are:

Felicity

or

Annabelle

What do you think of these names and which do you prefer?

Thanks Grin

Felicity

Felicity Serena Hind (going with the assumption of MAM!)

Annabel Felicity Hind

Serena Annabel Hind

mathanxiety · 16/11/2010 16:52

I love Serena -- even more than Annabel.

BarbieLovesKen · 16/11/2010 10:32

Both Annabelle and Felicity are beautiful. Dont think you could go "wrong" with either, that said, I do prefer Felicity - very pretty and slightly more unusual. Gorgeous!

Sorry but dont like Serena at all. (maybe thats because I know a Serena that I dont like though?). Serens nice but is no contest when compared to Felicity Wink

If your surname is Hind (you say it sounds like Kind) - Annabelle could be shorted to A-B by kids desperate for a cruel nickname... It's a long shot but kids can be very inventive when it comes to nicknames.

Niecie · 16/11/2010 10:17

Annabel and then Serena for me.

The only shortened version of Felicity that comes to mind if Flic which sounds a bit harsh. There are probably others but I can't think of them so for that reason it would be a no-no for me.

Sarsaparilllla · 16/11/2010 10:11

I love the name Felicity

Duffstuff · 16/11/2010 10:11

Thankyou so much for all your feedback. Felicity is definately winning for me at the moment Wink. Another name I like that has a totally different feel to it is Seren or Serena. Any opinions on those???

Definitely FelicitySmile Lovely name for a little lady!

muminthemiddle · 15/11/2010 23:54

I like both and think they are very similar names.

Make sure if you choose Annabelle that the initial A is ok with your surname for example do not use Anabelle if your surname is Pratt. On this basis I am inclined to say Felicity.

Komondor · 15/11/2010 13:30

If you've changed the spelling to Annabel, then it's a tie. Sorry, I just dont like the Annabelle spelling.

Komondor · 15/11/2010 13:29

Felicity

Linnet · 13/11/2010 20:41

Felicity,I love it and if I was ever to have a third dd that is what she would be called.

pointydog · 13/11/2010 20:40

I prefer Felicity because I really do not like Annabelle and there is an excellent Ornage Juice song 'Felicity'.

MadameCastafiore · 13/11/2010 20:27

Always think Annabelle is a fat girls name.

Sorry!

Duffstuff · 13/11/2010 20:25

After looking at the name Annabelle again, I think I do prefer the less fussier spelling of the name as in Annabel - thanks for pointing that out ladies. It is so difficult chooseing a name. I love both names equally and for different reasons Hmm

Annabel, spelled without the extra 'LE', which makes it look just a bit on the frilly side imo. Felicity is just way too fay for me, whereas Annabel has a less wispy yet still very feminine sound.

Montifer · 13/11/2010 15:32

Prefer Annabel, with nn possibilities of Anna, Annie and Bel, all lovely names IMHO.

sensiblesusannigella · 13/11/2010 13:35

Annabelle but spelt Annabel. Lots of possibilities for nicknames. Annabelle is trying too hard and would be often spelt wrong I think.

herhonesty · 13/11/2010 12:59

dont like annabelle. love felicity

Felicity.

WhyMeWhyNot · 13/11/2010 11:35

Got to be Felicity. Annabelle getting more popular now but Felicity sounds pretty as it rolls off the tongue.

ThatllDoPig · 13/11/2010 11:29

I'd definately got for Annabelle. Really pretty, unusualish, lots of options to shorten. I think Felicity sounds spoilt, but thats just me.

Rhubarbgarden · 13/11/2010 10:51

Felicity
