Jilo - or is that just silly?

I like the sound of Jilo for a boy, wondering what everyone else might think? 'Gilo' is a name, but I want to avoid the G initial. Opinions please, and why!

My bottom lip is trembling here .. Grin I didn't think it was that bad, a bit like Milo only not a warming bedtime drink. Thanks for the offer, Constance, I'll bear it in mind - from past experience, panic sets in when the nameless child is about two weeks old Smile

ZacharyQuack · 03/11/2010 20:17

Silly. Or even, Silo.

BangingNoise · 03/11/2010 20:15

Very silly.

Jilo - Brazilian vegetable... Oh that has so cheered me up.

Are you just throwing random letters together?

Constance39 · 03/11/2010 20:11

Dreadful - sorry. Have you, erm, got someone else handy to choose the actual name, when the baby arrives? Would you like one of us to come round and help you? Grin

lal123 · 03/11/2010 20:07

very very silly

Tidey · 03/11/2010 20:07

You could combine the two and name him Marzilo.

Ishouldhavechosenagoldfish · 03/11/2010 20:06

Its pronounced like Giro - with a L! Gilo Cardozo was the guy who went to Everest with Bear Grylls, IIRC. Gilo is a place near/in Jerusalem - Jilo is a Brazillian vegetable (just done some googling). D'you think it might be the hormones speaking? I did recently have a passing thought that Marzipan was a nice girls name ...

It is seriously silly.Smile

Tidey · 03/11/2010 20:02

Is it pronounced 'Jy-lo' or 'Jee-lo'? Think you might get responses saying it's too much like J-lo.

MrToad · 03/11/2010 20:01

Sounds like a made up name, how is it pronounced?

mountainmonkey · 03/11/2010 20:01

Reminds me of J-Lo!

yama · 03/11/2010 20:01

First thought was 'Giro'.
